I don't think I see better with one or the other, but I just find my eyes get more fatigued with contacts. I also have really sensitive eyes, so that may affect it. I only wear contacts for exercising. I used to prefer contacts for vanity reasons, but comfort has won me back over to glasses.
I need a lot of vision correction including astigmatism, so I have a hard time finding contacts I can see out of at all. I also have to be careful to get the thinnest glass or it affects my vision, so I wear glasses mostly. DH likes how I look better in glasses anyway and it works since the chunky plastic kind are fashionable anyway.

To me contacts are 1000 times more comfortable. They font steam up when youre cooking or going from inside to out inn cold weather and you have all your normal peripheral vision with contacts. My glasses are my cuurent perscription and I still don't feel like I see nearly as well with them.
I wear glasses some days, contacts on others. My contacts are not quite the same as my glasses but my problem is when my glasses get dirty/smeary and it's tough to see through the lenses.
If you're concerned, you might want to talk to your doctor and make sure you're not having issues related to contacts. I used to LIVE in my contacts in high school - slept in them and everything. One day they started getting cloudy and dry and now I really can't wear them for more than four hours at a time. It's almost like my eyes developed an allergy. It sucks big time.
I am very very nearsighted, my rx is a -7.0 and a -7.5. I have a slight astigmatism and I see far better wearing contacts than I do in my glasses. Like you, I pretty much only wear my glasses at night and a bit on the weekends. Rarely do I ever wear them to work.
I wear my contacts all the time. I can't drive in my glasses. I don't know how anyone can see anything unless it's straight in front of them with these tiny frames.
I developed an allergy and had to wear my glasses for an entire winter but eventually figured out it was because I changed solution so I went back to my old brand.
I used to wear contacts most of the time, glasses occasionally. I had slight astigmatism, which was not corrected with my contacts, but was with my glasses. I didn't even notice the difference. Some days my eyes felt a little dry with contacts, so I would just wear glasses on those days.
I eventually got LASIK. Best money I've ever spent. Seriously. Do it.

I feel like I see better with my glasses. I used to wear my contacts all the time, like 16+ hours per day, and developed dry spots on my eyes. My eye doc strongly urged me to not do that and wear glasses more. Once I started to do that, I realized I liked wearing glasses more than contacts.

This is similar to me. Both of my eyes are -7.50 and I have astigmatism. I also have pretty bad allergies causing my eyes to be itchy.
But I HATE, HATE, HATE wearing glasses, so my eye dr gave me coopervision biofinity, and I can wear them for a month straight (even at night). I do have to take them out once a week and clean them though, unless they get all eye boogery from my allergies. I usually use that solution that you submerge your contacts for at least 6 hours and it pulls all the protein off of them.
LASIK scares the everloving bejeebus out of me, and as long as I can wear contacts, I am ok w/ that. I had a friend get it done and she had to have it redone a year later, and her eyes are going back to what they were before. No thank you.

My prescription is up high enough where contact manufacturers don't make it in 0.25 increments, just 0.5 increments. So, I might need a -7.25, but I have to choose between -7.00 and -7.50. I also have astigmatism, which is harder to correct with contacts. All this means, my glasses give me clearer vision. They also give me headaches from not fitting properly, since I seldom wear them.
I love glasses I have 8 pairs in various styles and colors to coordinate with my look. I wear contacts 80% of the time now, I recently switched over to the one-day use dailies. Putting a fresh new pair of contacts in every day has been a God send to my dry eyes. No more solutions or storage. Lasik makes me nervous, my DH had it done and his vision is perfect but he now has clinically dry eyes. A common side -effect of Lasik. They are now worried about damage to the eye secondary to the dry eyes.

I wear my glasses all the time. I have a weird eye condition that makes soft contacts impossible for me.
I had a pair of contacts and I wore them for the wedding but I just could not get used to them enough to wear all day long.
In January I am going to talk to my eye doctor about hybrids. They are gas perm in the center which is what I have to have and can help stop my eye condition from worsening but they have a soft contact like edge that helps with discomfort. I just worry the soft part will tear easily. They are 150 each so I don't want something that I have to replace often.

I have astigmatism and have a hard time with contacts staying in place, even with my toric ones. I also have super long eyelashes that hit my glasses and make them constantly dirty. I prefer to wear my contacts most of the time and just blink a lot if they move out of place, which happens at least a few times a day. That being said, I do see much better with my glasses because my contacts are not the right prescription. The Dr couldn't find any that fit my eye and were the exact prescription of my glasses. The difference is definitely noticeable to me, but not enough that it makes me want to wear my glasses all the time. I hate wearing glasses.
I wore glasses 99% of the time. Contacts irritated my eyes and didn't fully correct my astigmatism, so I only wore them for outdoor sports like kayaking and skiing where glasses were not feasible.
I had LASIK on Friday and loooooooooooove it. This is seriously the best thing I've ever done. I'll give a detailed review later today since I know someone else was interested in the whole process.
I wore contacts exclusively from 7th grade until I was twenty-five. I had my vision corrected to 20/20 in 1994 (before LASIK, they used a blade. Nice). I had perfect vision for fifteen years. A few years ago I started needing glasses, but nowhere near what my original prescription (back then it was -9.25).
I can't stand wearing contacts now. I got so used to not having anything in my eyes, even though I despise wearing glasses. I'm waiting for some new technology so I can get my vision corrected again.
When my prescriptions are correct, right now my contacts are not, I see perfectly fine with either. Most of the time I'll wear my contacts but I feel a certain comfort when wearing my glasses.

I only wear my glasses for like an hour in the morning and at bedtime, otherwise I wear contacts. I don't like driving in glasses because I lose too much peripheral vision. Unless I had something seriously wrong with my eyes and couldn't wear contacts I wouldn't consider wearing glasses outside the house (combination of vanity and old, worn out glasses that I won't replace since I rarely wear them). At this point my glasses prescription is very outdated, so I couldn't safely drive in them.
A couple years ago, I started wear my glasses about 95% of the time. I put contacts in when I'm going to be outside in the sun for a while or doing something active, like a hike, when dressing up for formal events like weddings, or when I feel like mixing up my look a bit. I'm so much more comfortable. Contacts suck. They are drying and tiring.
Plus, choices for glasses are so much better now than they were 10+ years ago. There are so many cute, stylish pairs out that I actually love wearing them.
If you have a huge difference in visability, you should probably get your eyes checked. My understanding is that glasses prescriptions are usually a touch stronger than contact prescriptions to account for the difference in the space between the lens and the eyeball. So if you can see significantly better with your glasses, your contact prescription is probably out of date.
I wear contacts mostly. I wear glasses when I give my eyes a break or allergies are especially awful. I have horrible vision and love my glasses. But not every day. I prefer sunglasses.

I have the same prescription. I have a very, very hard time with glasses. My vision doesn't seem to be as sharp/clear in glasses as with contacts. I hate that I don't have peripherial vision, etc.
I wear glasses very rarely. I can't drive in glasses, either. I take my contacts out for like ten minutes before I go to sleep.
