This is why I think dual/front/back thermostat controls are one of the best things to happen to automobiles. Oh and heated and cooled seats
Normally that works, but I am worried about the baby. She cant tell me too hot or cold! I assume she would cry if it was one extreme or the other of course.

Sorry, I didn't realize you we're referencing a child. Five dogs has a good suggestion.

babies are usually overdressed in the winter IMO - so just keep the temp at what makes you comfortable and make sure the air isn't blowing right on baby - and baby will be fine.
i always have the temp in the back sync'd with mine in the front for my kids..... occasionally i'll make it a little warmer for them since i tend to get hotter faster- but like 2 deg.
