I thought it was good too. I agree that Lori seems less maddening. I was ready for her to die a painful death last season, but so far she hasn't actively caused any problems. Or lost Carl.
I want to know what happened that flipped Lori/Rick's relationship. At the end of the second season she was mad at him, and now he'll barely speak to her. I need the flashbacks to happen ASAP!
DH read the graphic novels, so I knew the other survivors in the prison were coming.
I read a bunch of spoilers of the comic books and have the first half in a collection on my table, but I haven't gotten very far in it yet. A lot of it is different--Sophia is alive, Daryl doesn't exist, etc.

She also told Hershel that Carl doesn't talk to her either. Is he just trying to be a tough guy and imitate dad, or did she do something awful that they're both pissed at her for (besides having Shane's baby, anyway)? I mean, it's pretty hard to give someone the cold shoulder when (a) they're your mom and (b) there's only 8 of you left in the world.
I was surprised so much time had gone by, and I also thought they'd have met up with Andrea. Carl seemed a little more useful and Lori was a little less annoying. Rick seemed a little...hotter, lol.
I like that Carol joked about it being romantic with Daryl. I was just about to gag at that scene.
