There's nothing I really care enough about to wish it away forever, if I don't like it, I simply don't put it in my house. But, I don't understand DIY wreaths. Most of the ones I've seen look...cheap and a little too "craft project" and I'm often left saying "Hmm..well that's interesting?" But if people like 'em, whatevs.
My sister built a new house and all her kid rooms have accent walls. It's too wild and messy looking for me. My friend does this in almost every room and it drives me nuts.

I hate pub tables too. Who the hell wants to be up in the air that far to eat? Not me! I especially don't get when you have a kid and put the kid in a regular height high chair, while you are up high at the pub table. Get a dang strap on booster thingy, and let the kid be able to see you!
I hate bathroom vanities that have the open shelf instead of cabinet drawers. I don't want my towels and rolls of Tp and whatnot to have to neatly arranged at all times, tyvm.

ITA, but since I have been feeling that way about DIY wreaths for the better part of the last 30 years, I don't think they qualify as a trend. ;p

I like pub tables if used correctly. I'm looking for a cool stainless steel one for my game room to go with my sports stools. But for a dining room, no.
I love beadboard, but I'm getting tired of seeing the beadboard and wainscoating treatments constantly. This is probably just an internet saturation issue because IRL I don't really see it being overdone.
Like I said I generally really like it, but it's just too much. And when people (bloggers) use beadboard wallpaper and say it looks so great, I call BS. If you're going to do it, do it right.

I agree with pub tables. I'm only 5'0". I want to be able to put my feet on the floor! Urgh!
I'm getting a little tired of white/blue/grey blandness. I think it can look really fresh and modern if done right, but it can also look so tired and unfriendly.
LOL I went through a phase where I had a couple of those metal words on the walls. Then one day I told DH I didn't want the walls to talk to me anymore and put them on freecycle.

All things chevron.
Also, I'm quite tired of teal, bright blue, and yellow. Many DIY bloggers tend toward these kinds of colors with lots of white, and I am just finding these overused.
I've seen countless pieces of what would be great furniture on CL ruined in the name of shabby chic. Not every edge and surface on every piece of furniture needs to be sanded distressed, promise.

Ditto pub height tables and wall words. I also hate wood words. I am also so over a child's name or initial's over their crib. It was cute the first 1000 times I saw it, but it now looks unoriginal and boring.
Amen. And it's weekly "OMG did you see what YHL did yesterday? Did you see it? Isn't it awful/ugly/stupid/lame/I need something to bitch about? OMG I can't believe they did that!!!" commentary here. I'm ok if we never talked about them again. They suck. We get it. How is this news?

I kind of like it when people post something lame and everyone says what they would have done differently. The post about their deck was filled with awesome solutions for awkward spaces like that.

I hate that Grey is the new beige. Because I love that color, but refuse to use it now.
LOL.
I resisted using gray and ::shudder:: 'greige' tones for some time, but eventually went with them because they were what worked for particular spaces and the feel that I wanted...not because everyone else did it. Besides, gray is way better than beige could ever dream of being.
I kind of want to repaint when I use a color and then it becomes the 'it' color. Or maybe put up a sign that says 'my room was this color before it became trendy'.lol

I wish, for once, I could look for something I have my heart set on and find it. I just want some freakin' green curtains that don't look like something my grandma would own. Not sage green, hunter green or lime green. Just. Green. And patterned. This is asking too much.
Bar height tables, for sure. But that's a functional thing for me - I'm a shorty...my legs dangle like I'm a six year old in a grown up chair!
Wall words, for sure. I can still get on board with the occasional initial on a picture wall in a kids room, but "Always kiss me goodnight" in vinyl over the master bed...not so much.
ORB - and it's too bad because I think it fills a niche for a lot of people. And it's funny because it's not even my thing - I'd never pick it. I just think it's a trend that will wind up so common that it will quickly be dated, and if it hadn't been overused (because like anything, it just doesn't work EVERYWHERE) it would work really well in the right space.
Lots of wall decor - those big stars, ceiling tiles, anything that looks like it comes from one of those annoying candle parties your friends host and make you buy from. I get that it's easy, instant wall decor...I just don't like it.
BAD kitchens. I've been looking at real estate lately. Why these long runs of cabinets that are exactly the same height and depth with no variation? One raised cabinet here and there, one with different doors, maybe a different size or depth somewhere, maybe even...one floor to ceiling cabinet if you're feeling really wild and crazy! It's doesn't take much to make an off the shelf kitchen look at least a little upgraded. But those longs runs of identical cabinetry...blech.
I always get crabby when something I like winds up feeling overdone because I like it, and have it, and now it just seems...tainted by being common. But, then I try and remind myself that "overdone/common" is subjective because I read a ton of design blogs and spend lots of time on here. So, while chevron might seem a *titch* overused I likely haven't seen it IRL much at all. And chances are none of you are coming over to sell out my overdone decor! So, it can stay our secret.
