Maybe the "correlation" is that people who eat seafood are more open minded about food, and therefore tend to be more open minded about social issues, which would aim them to the Obama camp. STRETCH.

Or people who live near oceans tend to like seafood more than those who live in landlocked (and often red) areas?
I don't much care for either restaurant. You can save your money on both and buy some low grade frozen food at your local Kroger. Same thing.
Now I'm angry that my grocery store does not sell frozen Olive Garden breadsticks. That would be magical.
I was thinking the same thing. Lol. DS and I love soup salad and breadsticks and we choose that for lunch instead of panera or something because it is a pain to juggle a tray and two kids, and go through the ordeal of getting a table and highchair at a quick service place. So if we are meeting my mom for lunch or something we go to olive garden sometimes.
I also love red lobster biscuits, but you can make a pretty good version of them at home without having to actually eat at a red lobster.

I'd agree with this. I believe we have 4 OGs in the city and only 2 RLs. We are a red state.
I really like Olive Garden, but was never a big fan of Red Lobster. Apparently the one here isn't very good (and that's compared to others in the chain). I'm not voting for either candidate though.

But if you have access to real, fresh seafood, why the hell would you get at Red Lobster? I have been to a RL maybe 3 times in my life, period, but I would have been even more unlikely to go there when I lived in New England and could get yummy lobster from a local place pretty inexpensively.
FWIW, I don't particularly like RL or OG, but if forced to choose I would pick OG for the sake of the bread sticks and salad. I would take Mac Grill over either. I hate college football. I live in a red state. I will vote for Obama.

I don't like either, but interesting enough, they are both owned by the same parent company. The only reason I know this is because my IL's like both and we buy them giftcards for Christmas.

I agree with this...I think those on the coasts would be more likely not to go to a place like RL because they would have more "real" seafood options.
I am in a reddish state and we probably have an even mix of RLs and OGs. In fact, usually they are near each other in the same development. I haven't been to either place in at least 10 years, but probably would pick OG if I had to. I am voting for Obama.
