Do you send correction emails if you make a non material mistake in an email?
I lead a group that meets on Wednesday nights. I sent a note about our meeting tonight ( wrote 'tonight' instead of 'this week'). I assume no one will think we're meeting tonight instead do I'm not going to correct it. But not sure if I should.
If it has the wrong date/time/etc, yes, I'll send a correction e-mail. Just because I work with people who are stupid and lack critical thinking skills, who would indeed show up to the meeting tonight, and then blame me.

How is referencing the wrong date not a material mistake? YES, you should send out an email stating "The meeting is still scheduled for Wed XXX. Sorry for any confusion."

Because we have never met any night other than on a Wednesday. That's when our meeting space is booked and that's what parents signed up for.
I hate clogging up people's emails if I don't need to...
ETA: The text was along the lines of "we are having a teddy bear picnic this week. Have your child bring her teddy bear to the meeting tonight"
In this situation I would send a Friendly Reminder about the meeting details - and probably not mention the wording of the other email. It gets too confusing to correct something many people didn't notice in the first place.
