No. I did it with my small dog in high school. My stepmom did it with hers. A few of my friends do it with their small dogs. The dogs usually love it and it's an easy way to keep them clean.
I don't think I'd do it with a giant dog though. That would be tricky.

Define: all the time. I mean, it makes a ton of sense to just get in the shower with a dog instead of trying to lean over a tub. But if "all the time" means "my dog just loves to shower with me and I hate to say no, and I might as well get the dog clean since he's in there with me." then....yeah, that's weird.

This.
But then, I have 2 75lb greyhounds... their heads are at an unfortunate level...

I don't have a dog, but back when I had an awesome bathtub, my little girl kitty would hear the water running and come running into the bathroom. She liked to lay on my chest and purr until she realized her butt and tail were getting wet, whereupon she'd leave very indignantly.
My bathtub sucks now, but I look forward to the day when we have an awesome tub again and we can have our quality bathtub moments again. LOL.

Oh, if it's only when she needs a bath and you're doing it because it's easier to bathe her, then not weird. I thought you were all "hey Spot, it's time for our shower" every morning.

Every once in a while I wash my big dog (100ish lbs) in the shower because leaning over the bathtub hurts my back but I wear a swimsuit. Which may also be weird? I don't know.
We have one of those walk through/carwash/whatever showers (with no doors) and if I'm not looking he'll sometimes sneak in and lay down and refuse to move.
my cat used to come into the bathroom when I was taking a bath and drink the bathwater. Now THAT is weird. And gross.
my cat likes to play with the bubbles. he gingerly dips his paw into the bubbles, realizes they stick to his paw, half shakes it off and then licks it.
he has only fallen in once doing this. THAT was funny.
I had a cat that actually like water. I had her in college and often took bubble baths, she just loved them. She also liked to ride in the car. I swear she was a dog in a previous life.

I used to shower with Coco, the White Highland Westie. He was cool with it.
It was a stand up shower stall and it was just easier to wash him just before I'd wash myself. I'd soap him up and rinse and then towel dry him, put him in front of the heated towel rack and then wash up and then blow dry him when I was done.
*shrug*
Do I need a disclaimer that we didn't actually have a tub?
And congratulations, this may actually be a new subject of debate for ML, and those are few and far between nowadays.
I do it. I have a 15 pound dog. He's a terror if he's in the tub and I lean over it, but so SO calm if I'm holding him in the shower.
When he needs washed, I usually start my shower, then yell for DH to bring him to me when I'm done I put him down to soap him up, then pick him up again to rinse. Then, I turn off the shower, put him on the shower floor, let him shake a few times, and then towel him off while he's still on the shower floor. It helps minimize the trail of water he leaves as he zoomies through the house.
I am laughing at the "only in a swimsuit" responses. It's not like he's judging me or into me or anything.
