Hm. P is territorial about his chews as well. Part of the reason we're a fan of the antler is that he likes it, but not enough to be angry if it gets taken away.
Weirdly, I don't need them to last longer because she's super territorial. She'll either hide it and be super anxious about hiding it or NOT GIVE IT UP EVER.
I think the point there was that if you find something that lasts longer, you won't need to buy them as often.
It took my dog a few tries to warm up to them, but now she loves them and they last a little while. Not as long as a bully stick, but longer than most dog treats. They don't stink, so that is a plus.
In the bag, I'd say there were maybe 8 or so giant pieces, which I cut in half, and another 8 or so medium to small sized pieces.
Also, my dog really likes carrot sticks. Sometimes, I'll just give her one long thin piece that is the whole length of the carrot. You could try that.

No, I got the point. I don't want her to have something that lasts forever because she's too territorial about it. She won't leave it alone and thus will bring it with her wherever she goes (including outside or the bed).
I'd rather have something that she can just eat and be done with.
Oh I see. Then yeah, antlers aren't the solution either. What about filling a Kong with cheese or peanut butter and then freezing it? Or how about a puzzle toy? Once she gets to the treats, she can wolf them down, but it may take her a while to get to them.

I would definitely try the pizzles or the sweet potato rawhide (it's not real rawhide, it's just dried, shriveled pieces of sweet potato, and super chewy). They last longer than the sweet potato sticks that you see in a lot of pet stores.
My dog, who is about the same size as yours, eats the pizzles in one sitting, whereas she wouldn't with the bully sticks. Sometimes she will leave half chewed pieces of sweet potato laying around, but not always. Depends on the size and if she gets interrupted, really.
Like them on FB and they sometimes have coupon codes.
Their knotted bones (out of stock right now) last the longest. Next would be the braided ones. I also get the rolled cow cheeks. They "look" like rawhide, which I won't give, but the cow cheeks don't have the choking hazard of rawhide. They completely digest if pieces are swallowed, as well.

I buy marrow bones at the grocery store. You have to make sure you buy them big enough though so they don't choke or get them stuck on their jaw. I don't let him chew them in the house though, its an outside only toy since there is raw meat/marrow and it grosses me out. I keep them in the freezer and pull one out ever few weeks when we need to keep him entertained. Even once the marrow is gone he likes to chew on them. I have heard great things about the antlers and bully sticks, but haven't broken down and forked over the money yet. This winter we might when he starts to drive us nuts. Its the first winter we've had him, and since I won't let him chew the marrow bones inside I will be looking for alternatives!
Kong wobbler? Doggie tornado filled with kibble? How long do you need the chew to last? Booda Bones Nylabone makes an edible variety, but I didn't like that it flaked off in chunks Apple slices
We have the Sam's Yams in the Sweet Potato Fry variety, our dog seems to like them.
