After a particularly rough March of altering bridesmaid dresses, I decided to take a break from taking on new clients but honoring my old commitments.
I had my last clients pick up their dresses today. It was a wedding party that booked in February.
Thankfully, I have had a lot of repeat business to keep me a little busy, and I am so much happier with the volume I'm handling now. Fingers crossed, my office will be done soon and I can start taking on new clients again. And they won't have to walk through my house!!!
I feel so free--like the last of a really bad situation/cause of tension at home has passed.
Congratulations! Enjoy your break. I think I remember you posting about it being a problem when clients are in your house. I'm glad you will have a space where you can continue working.
Also is it just me or is that a really prepared wedding party? I don't think I've ever had my alterations finished four months before a wedding. I would be worried that I would gain weight over the holidays and then it wouldn't fit right. At least they have January to take it back off if that happens.
