Here is a link from Teachers College Reading and Writing Project. There are a ton of spreadsheets with book ideas. I'm not sure if you use the Fountas and Pinnell leveling system but a 4th grade level would be around "P".

I read Moon Over High Street after it was reviewed on NPR. I was a little disapointed that NPR talked up the depth of the story and it wasn't that deep. But, overall a good story, low reading level, mature theme. www.scholastic.com/teachers/article/moon-over-high-street-booktalk
I really liked The Higher Power of Lucky again, it has mature themes, but is an easy read. I don't think I would like a 4th grader reading it, but would have no problem with an(a) 8th/9th grader reading it. www.scholastic.com/teachers/book/higher-power-lucky

I can't think of any specific titles right now (it's already been a long week!), but know that there are websites you can use to search by lexile. 4th grade lexile range is about 750-1000.
