I recently purchased a printable (jpeg file) invite for my son's baptism. You pick the design, email the details, the seller sent a proof, I approved and then she sent the final for printing. I send the details with the time of 10:30am, but after I got them printed ($23 for the walgreen prints, using a 40% off code), I noticed that the time is listed at 10:30PM, not AM.
at first i thought it was my typo, but I went back to the original receipt and I did say AM, but did not catch it on the proof or the final jpeg before printing; only noticed it after I printed the invites.
any thoughts on what I should do? on one hand I think it's my fault for not catching it earlier, but on the other I did say AM originally. I just wish I had caught it before I printed them. Our family/friends are casual, so I can just add a post it saying, oops, of course it's am, not pm to save the costs on re-printing, likely at full cost....Or, do you think I should contact the seller....?
Eh, I think I'd just let it go. If you hadn't been sent a proof to approve I would say contact the seller, but since you approved it I'd just suck it up.
I think she should send you a new file with the correct time (it would take her all of five seconds, I would think), but you should pay for the printing.
I have photoshop, so I would just fix myself (get rid of the pm)
You could send an 'oops' email to the seller. Most are pretty nice and would be willing to fix for you. (though if the seller doesn't fix, I don't think you can be upset).
I know you already printed, but printing isn't that much, so I would figure out a way to fix it
I might consider if there was some kind of stickers that could be added to the invites and cover the pm, but that would only really work if they are more "cutesy" vs "formal."
While it is your fault for missing it, I would contact the seller and see if they would be able to make the change - it should be a quick fix, so they may be willing to fix it.
If you want to reprint them, I'd ask her to make the fix. If not, no need to even tell her (although it m8ght be nice to have a correct invite for posterity.)
I just did the same thing- ordered a jpeg off etsy- and I need to get prints. Did you print them on cardstock or photo paper?
