Well after four months and lots of paperwork errors, we got the next approval for our short sale! We can now schedule a closing date, and then the bank just has to approve the final HUD-1 doc 5 days prior to closing. We already had inspections done and appraisals and everything is looking good. Fingers crossed that we can close on our scheduled date without any more issues. I just dropped off everything with our finance guy and signed the mortgage application yesterday. 3.5% with no points for 30 years - now that is MM!

Oh and the house was built in the 1930s, so it has original floors but new windows. It also has some nice details like the old glass doorknobs and original doors, but it also has some nice new stuff like central air conditioning!!

And this is a huge plus! We're looking into replacing all of our windows in our older house and it is pricey to keep the same look (wood trim with lead inserts). Looks like you found a great place!
