Cycle 3, CD26, 11 DPO. My last few cycles have been short (20 - 25 days) with short luteal phases (about 8-10 days). But I'm still only 3 months off BCP, so my cycle is still regulating.
I POASed yesterday and this morning. A little premature, I get it, but I still thought I'd check just to see. Both were BFNs when I read them after the stated time period (5 min), but the one from this morning had a faint line when I looked at it about an hour later (not sure about yesterdays...didn't look at it).
Question 1: Is a result even valid to look at after the stated time period? Or is an hour-old wondfo completely bogus?
Question 2: When should I POAS again? FF predicted that AF would start Thursday, but I don't trust it's prediction. Should I wait until CD28? 14 DPO? Should I just POAS each morning till AF arrives or I get a BFP? They're Wondfos, and inexpensive enough that I don't feel it's a waste of money to over-test.
1 -- typically an hour-old test is worthless. The dollar-store brand specifically says to look at it after 3min but never after 10. antibody reactions can have false coloring based on just the evaporation of the liquids.
2 -- I would probably test in at 14DPO and then be reasonably confident in that yes/no. But if POAS gives you more peace than waiting, then go nuts!

I agree with both of these points. Definitely don't look at tests past the 3/5 min window.
Yeah, an hour old test can go either way with either actual result, so useless. That said, if you still have enough wondfos to pee every morning until 14DPO, I'd say go nuts. Or just skip one day now and test again on Monday?
