I made baked ziti Thursday night. I brought leftovers in on Friday but didn't eat it. I have a team lunch today so I won't get to eat it till tomorrow. Would you eat that?
What about the left over spaghetti sauce from Thursday night? It has been refrigerated since I made it. Can I eat it tonight?
Yup to both. Was reading this morning that Americans now throw out 40% of their food!! A good amount of that due to being overly cautious about sell by/use by dates, many of which are artificially shorter than reality for food because some people ridiculously freak out if they were set at reality and they think it's too long.
In general, if its been refrigerated the whole time, smells and tastes fine, has no visible mold, and isn't all terribly dried out/wilted, I'll eat it.
