We went on a Haunted Hayride a few weekends ago. It said expectant mothers may not want to ride. However, I am pretty sure this is just for liability as it went 2 miles an hour , but I suppose there are no seatbelts.
I don't know. If I get really shocked could something happen? Okay now that I've typed that out it seems dumb. One of my books said not to raise my heart rate to a certain amount.
I did a non-haunted hayride on Sunday. You'll be fine. I had to sit down in the shade and put my head between my knees after but I sometimes have to do that at the grocery store these days so no big deal.
It's just for general caution NQB. Also, talk to your OB about the heart rate thing. In general, your OB will tell you to continue working out the same as you did before getting pregnant and to not worry about the heart rate. It's more just maintaining the same activities and not wanting to train for a marathon when you were a couch potato before the BFP.
The hayride I went on a few weeks ago was insanely bumpy. But I mean I had a hand held infant on it so I don't see why a pregnant woman couldn't do it.
I wouldn't do a haunted house because the last time I went to one I had a panic attack. If you are prone to anxiety, I would stick to the tame stuff.

We're planning on doing something like this over the weekend. The thought never crossed my mind that I couldn't go (right now dr's are thinking I'm around 5.5w but I go for u/s next Thursday). I'd do it.

I ask you, have you ever been on a haunted hayride that gave you that much of a scare?

Hayride is fine, I wouldn't do a haunted house because of how dark they are (i.e. trips & falls). I have also been to one where at one point you had to crawl through a rotating tunnel - that one banged me up pretty bad.
ETA - hopefully you'll be sober if you encounter a rotating tunnel, so you'd be one up on me in the previous situation. ;D

I wouldn't want to go to a haunted house if I was really far along because people can get pushy and I wouldn't want to fall. I can't imagine a family friendly haunted hayride would give you that much of a scare anyway.

It's been years but I remembered being terrified/screaming my head off the last time I went to one. The people came out of nowhere and even after the initial shock they would still chase you. It was fun in retrospect. I'd go to that one again but it's about 90 minutes away.

I actually don't know if I would do a real haunted house. I know the ones i go to involve running and screaming and lots of adrenalin. I am not saying it would be bad for the baby, but they can be pretty panic inducing.
This is the really really scary one. I haven't been to it since I was a teenager. It's awesome but I'll probably have to pass this year. The family friendly one I posted about before should be okay though.
A friend of mine once asked her OB this question while pregnant. The answer - As long as you are allowed to bump around while having sex, a hayride is no problem!
I have never forgotten that response! She was asking about taking a 3rd grade field trip to a pumpkin patch : )
