Umm so I know that I'm probably the only one that's grossed out by this, but do people really buy used breast pumps? Isnt that like buying used underwear?
All the parts can be sterilized, and the ones that either can't, or you do not feel comfortable with, you can buy the parts separately, so in essence, you're buying the engine that fuels the pumping part.
This. The milk doesn't actually go through anything but the membranes and the breast shields. Occasionally milk can get into the tubes but you can also buy new ones so really it's not all that unsanitary to buy a used one since the milk doesn't actually touch the pump.
I didn't understand pre-baby. The idea of buying a used pump was seriously repulsive. If I had to do it again I might rethink it depending on what state the pumping part was in.
I was just really surprised at this tonight. Someone on my fb feed was selling their used pump and all I could do was +o(

Like PP have said, you can get new tubing, flanges, everything. It's not a good idea, however, to get one that's older than 5 years, though, IMO since technology can change and parts/motors can wear out with lots of use.
