I live in N. Admiral and take the West Seattle bridge to Sodo for my AM commute, then I catch a shuttle bus ride to the office. Right now, I leave at the same time every morning - 7:15 - but some days the drive to the parking lot is 30 minutes, other days it's 15-20. Waiting on the shuttle bus and riding it to the office adds another 15-20 minutes.
Is there some alternative route to Sodo that I could consider? Like, the mess of roads underneath the bridge? Or a roundabout way with more predictable traffic?
I don't know if you can do this, but my coworker takes the water taxi in and then hops on the bus from there. He says its super easy. Is that an option?

Is your office in SLU? I'm trying to figure out possible Water Taxi or rapid ride options but they don't look good .
And the PP who said "try leaving fifteen minutes earlier" has a good point -- sometimes just a tiny change makes a huge difference in commute times here.
