We've had the regular one since DD was 7 months. She loved climbing into it as a baby. Now as a toddler she flops down with her head on one arm and her legs draped over the other to "lounge." She's 2.5 now and in the 97% for height, but still has room to grow.
I ordered ours at the PBK store...another sales assoc. came over to chat and was gushing about the chairs and I asked the same question b/c DS is 3 1/2.
She said that her 6 year old still uses his regular size chair, so she recommended the regular for us. Granted, I haven't seen her 6 year old, but she seemed to think the regular could last them for many years.
ToddlerB is 16 months old....how much longer do you think your kiddo will fit in it? Is the regular size spacious and comfy? Or more snug and confined.
Our DDs are the same age and it is HUGE for caramini. Both my husband and I can sit in it with room to spare. The regular is likely good for a while and I was told that you want to get one so that they can move it themselves whereever they are going. I'd get the regular. ;D

Honestly? I'd say neither. Maybe I'm not much help if you're set on an anywhere chair, but I couldn't get over the price so I bought my girls $20 beanbags from Target that have lasted forever...they're pretty cute with appliqued flowers on them, and the girls are 6 and 9 now and still use them all.the.time. Plus they're a lot easier to drag around to where they want them and they fit inside the play tent which is a bonus for "camping out".
