I did get one for HS Graduation but I lost it within a year. Knowing that, I did not bother getting one for college even though I did graduate. Instead I took the money I was given for a potential ring and spent it in Europe during my study abroad. I don't regret this decision at all, especially now that almost all my jewelry was stolen last year during the house invasion anyway.
I got one for both HS and college, but my college ring is more "fashion" than class ring. Now that you mention it, I have no clue where either one is...

I got a high school ring and stopped wearing it my freshman year of college. I also got a college ring (in 09) and still wear it. It's not your typical class ring though. It has the school's seal attached to two bands - one at top and one at the bottom. Very sleek. I'll check into adding a diamond band to it when I get my master's.
ETA: (because I love my college ring) Mine is on the right. My sister (of course) copied me.

I was mostly asking because around here the only people I see wearing them regularly are Aggies or athletes. Aggies are serious about their rings, it's like they are more important to them than their diplomas.
I did like my HS ring since it was personalized to my extracurriculars, had my birthstone, and was engraved with my name... but I just could not justify the cost for one for college with the thought that I might not ever wear it after a certain point (or end up losing it).
I got one my sophomore year of HS and wore it. I still have it, but it doesn't fit anymore, so I keep it on a chain. Every so often, I'll wear it that way. It was a very big deal in my HS to have one.
I had mine until my junior year of college, when I exchanged it with my BF at the time, and he "lost" it. So sold his to a pawn store. (I sounds like an ass, but I swear he didn't want it back.)
I got a HS ring, which I wore til my mom gave me my grandmother's sorority ring. Then I got a college ring when I graduated. I made sure to get a ring that didn't look like a typical class ring. I'm still wearing it today (9 years later).
My HS ring, because I graduated in 1999 had a huge 1 on top of the stone, then had 999 stacked down the side of it. The bad thing about that is if you turned the ring upside down it said 666. Good times

I got one in HS, but not for college. My mom insisted I get one since she lost hers years ago. I still have it in a jewelry box filled with stuff I never wear lol
