Why not just start talking dirty when you are having sex? Tell him that you've always fantasized about x,y,z.

Yep. If you are having sex, you should be able to talk about it. I know it can be scary due to fear of rejection, but I highly doubt he will turn you down.

Perhaps you should go buy a few items at an adult store, and then have them laying on the bed when he gets home and tell him to pick which one you two get to play with that night ? .....If you cant be that direct, this might be fun. And then that can be your segway into leading the convo into things you two would like to try..... I have no doubt he will be excited at this. I am sure he is scared of the same things you may be about bringing it up. But everyone here is right, if you are in a long term, this is something that should be discussed at length. It is HUGE in a relationship
