When your current job doesn't know you want to leave? I haven't had to do this before so I don't know how to go about it. :/ I've only had to look for jobs while unemployed, so there was no danger in being "discovered" if I went through some employment agency.
Also, I don't know many resources any more, it all seems to have changed so much! CL isn't really that great a way to search, Monster didn't look promising the last time I checked. I know to look at specific companies I'm interested, but any other suggestions?
This is scary for me (I'm a Capricorn, we crave stability above all else) but I'm getting so SICK of being here, and now they want me to start doing something else that has way too many elements of programming in it and I DO NOT WANT TO.
Thanks sf! I only have 2 coworkers as friends on FB and they're the two I talk off and on with about job changing anyway. They're more friends who happen to be coworkers than the other way around, so they're safe. Looks like I should spend some time updating my LinkedIn this weekend.

Check out www.indeed.com. It pulls job listings from all different sites - government sites, web pages, craigslist, etc.
Also, do you have anyone you work with that could be a reference? I've started looking (although not sure I want to leave my current job) and have a coworker that is in a higher position than me that is my reference if needed.
Everyone's given really good advice. Also, if you have any vendors that you work with that you really trust, I would ask them if they've heard of any other companies needing someone in your position. I've gotten a job this way and I've interviewed a few people this way too. Obviously, only ask if you're super comfortable with them knowing and being able to keep it a secret.
