I'd like to talk to you about my CM. TMI

So I have irregular periods and I don't temp. My sleeping is SO haphazard that my temps would be all over the place and I switch from night to day every few days.

I never really paid attention to CM until the other day when I was like "hmm...well now, this is a lot".

So I track of fertility friend to keep track of periods and sex and such.

I was looking at their CM options;

Dry.
Sticky.
Creamy.
Watery.
Wet.
Eggwhite.

Well, I can assume what dry, sticky, the color of creamy are. But when it comes to wet, watery, and eggwhite I'm kind of lost.

I wasn't actively looking at the CM but from touch itself it felt, well, a lot like what eggwhites feel like. So I marked down as eggwhite and it automatically gave me fertile days.

But I'm sort of second guessing myself and does having eggwhite CM mean you ovulated/will ovulate or can it happen without ovulating?

This sounds like the stupidest question on earth doesn't it? Don't flame me. :-(

Watery looks like, well, water! If you checked internally, your fingers would look like you dipped them in water. EWCM has also been described as jelly-like, and its def stretchy. I suspect I had some the day after I O'd this month, when I wiped. I assume it was there the day of O too; hopefully close to where it needs to be! This could be you as well. When in doubt hump it out!

Took me until now (so almost at the end of my third cycle) to discern what my fluids were up to! lol

It's confusing and once you mix semen in there...forget it!

I've only ever seen dry (meaning, no discernible CM), creamy, watery, and egg-white (only once).

Watery is clear and thin, like water. EW can be clear or whitish, but is thicker and super-stretchy. Creamy is white, thicker, and non-stretchy. If you guys are getting in on a lot, then it can be difficult to tell the difference between semen and CM. I also found it a lot easier to check CM by checking internally, and checking my cervical position at the same time. In fact, the one time I identified EW was by checking my CP.
