I actually get more done when I work from home because there are less distractions. Even if I have the TV on, I feel like the main focus is getting stuff done on my work to do list.
I have done barely anything today, but then again, H was at work all morning and I have a three year old, and daycare was closed. I am actually pretty productive when I am left alone to work.
I'm getting sick over the thought of how much work I have to do. And I have oral argument for a MSJ on Friday and I didn't bring the file home.... (I do have the briefs though).
They took our servers offline, so I haven't done anything other than check emails. Both MH and I occasionally work from home, I'm at least as productive as I am in the office if not more, since I have fewer distractions from the phone/co-workers. Same holds true for MH. Plus I can toss a load of laundry in the wash.

I WFH full time and haven't gotten much done today due to the "excitement" of the storm. I am also working from my living room when normally I sit in my office with few distractions. It's different when it's just one day.
But I don't have anything pressing except for an MSJ opposition that I have to file next Monday (and that the clients have already signed off on), so while I may do some proofreading/cite-checking tomorrow, I'm okay with drinking for now.
Anything else I should be doing requires documents that are in the office.
Because our office doesn't have heat or AC on the weekends/after 6 pm, I try to do as much from home at possible when I need to work at night and on weekends -- so I'm usually pretty good about getting shit done at home when I've had the chance to bring my papers home and such. This storm is distracting me too much to get stuff done.

I have moments when I struggle but what has helped me is having an office with a door. When it's time for work I get dressed and go to the office (also helps that the office windows face the street, so I can't just sit here in my underwear without scaring passersby). When work hours are over, I close the computer, plug in the phone, leave the office and shut the door. I usually also leave the house and just walk around the block or something to signal to myself that work is done.
Oh and I don't have a television on this floor at all. That helps (me anyway, as I am a television addict).

I think working from home one day is a very different mindset than working from home full time.
My office is a dedicated room in the house - I have a radio, but no TV. And I can't access the Nest or anything else fun via my work computer. I go in there at 8 a.m., shut the door and don't come out until 5 (sometimes for lunch). Every once in a while I'll throw in a load of laundry or do dishes during my lunch hour, but for the most part I don't let myself become distracted by house stuff.
I've been solo for a little over a year and work from home the majority of the time. I use a colleague's nice office to meet with clients in their conference room. It keeps my overhead really low while allowing me to have the appearance of a nice office, but I am going freaking NUTS. I hate it - so much that I'm considering joining a firm. I hate the distractions and hate the isolation. It also doesn't help that DH works from home and he is always bugging me.
