Not sure if this is really "makeup" since it is skincare
What do you do to care for your skin? What specific cleanser/moisturizer/other products do you use?
Mine is terrible and most days all I do is put on moisturizer before my makeup. I don't even remove my makeup at night I use bare minerals though so I don't think that's as bad as some other makeups?
I am 30 and probably should be proactive about aging and taking care of my skin NOW rather than wait until it looks like a mess. I do find it looks less even now but thankfully no wrinkles.
Acne is rarely an issue, I may get a pimple here or there the week of my period. As long as I moisturize my skin doesn't get too dry.
But really, I'm less curious for specific recommendations for me and more curious just to hear what you do. Bonus if you describe your complexion and what the product/routine does for it!
My skin is fairly "normal." Neither dry nor oily, not particularly sensitive. I get occasional acne.
I wash my face with Philosophy's Microdelivery exfoliating face wash. It's gentle enough for everyday use, and it helps to keep my skin clearer/brighter. My makeup also looks better with regular exfoliation.
I use whatever moisturizer I've got laying around. Lately, it's been a deluxe sample of Philosophy's Miracle Worker.
I occasionally use this Philosophy Dual Phase Peel. It gives an extra boost of exfoliation & vitamins and shit.
If I could bring myself to drop the cash, I'd use this stuff everyday:
I got a sample from Birchbox, and omg. I loved it. It made my skin feel so soft, toned down redness, and smelled fantastic. I just can't spend $125 on a container that small.
Oh! I also have a prescription for Atralin (an emollient version of Retin A that isn't supposed to be as drying). It's to help fade acne scars & prevent acne and wrinkles. I forget to use it, though :-\ Adding that to my routine!
When I'm being lazy (about every other night), I use a sensitive baby wipe to remove my makeup & call it a day.
I splash my face with water in the morning. I don't wash twice/day.
After dealing with a bad case of peri-oral dermatitis last year I've switched things up. I wash with cetaphil at night and then in the morning I don't re-wash with soap, just water. For a moisturizer I use First Aid Beauty's ultimate repair cream, which somehow works in summer and winter, which is unheard of for me. Pretty simple.
My routine is pretty simple. I'm 27 and despite being dry, my skin is pretty low maintenance, though it's worse to deal with in the winter.
In the morning, I use an Aveeno cleanser in the shower (Positively Radiant, I think?), followed by a moisturizer before makeup. I usually switch off between Olay and Aveeno moisturizers, and mix a little bit of liquid foundation with it to create a tinted moisturizer.
At night, I remove my make up with the Neutrogena Makeup Remover wipes. I then follow up with the Aveda Green Science Firming Eye Cream (the beauty of having a sister who is an Aveda student that gets 40% off...), and whatever night cream I happen to have at the time.
I have combination skin that is somewhat sensitive and has an occasional breakout.
Morning: wash with Neutrogena fresh foaming cleanser and apply Neutrogena oil-free moisture.
Evening: wash with the same cleanser using my Clarisonic, spot treat with Paula's Choice BHA 9, apply a light layer of Cetaphil lotion on my entire face, and finish with Neutrogena healthy skin eye cream.
I use Neutrogena deep clean scrub 1-2x a week for extra exfoliation and also use Origins clear improvement charcoal mask a few times a month.
I have combo, acne prone skin that is also very sensitive. I don't use any specific washes in the morning because I find that washing day and night with anything dries my skin out. I do use just a plain Neutrogena moisturizer under my makeup. At night, I wash with a clarisonic and with Philosophy's Purity facewash. Then I moisturize with either Philosophy's Keep the Peace or Caudelie's Vinosource Sourbet Creme (favorite). For the occasional zits, it's Clinique's emergency gel lotion or tea tree oil. I also do an enzyme peel every couple of weeks with AmorePacific wash. That stuff is really expensive but I love it.

I have what I would consider normal skin and have had maybe 5 zits in my entire life. I'm 40 and all I do is wash my face in the morning after shower with nuetrogena facial wash wipes and put on Olay Moisturizer after. I don't wash my face at night - but I also don't wear a ton of make up.
I am terrible. I have combination skin - oily in the t-zone, occasional breakouts on my chin, tends to be normal to dry on my cheeks.
I was in the morning with Origins wash for combination skin, use a Prescriptives toner to control oil (I usually use Origins United State, but ran out recently), and moisturize with Josie Maran SPF. I use Benefit's It's Potent eye cream.
At night, I occasionally use some eye cream or try a sample of something from Birchbox, but more often than not, I just crash out. I really need to get better about a night time routine. I suspect it would cure my chin breakouts.
I have combination skin. I cleanse in the morning with Neutrogena's normal bar and then moisturize using something with SPF 15+, it varies on the brand, though.
At least every two weeks I exfoliate with an apricot scrub (it doesn't irritate my skin like other people, Target brand of St. Ives) and use Philosophy's mask.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with my skin but I've never had huge problems, either.

I am 39 and have combination skin, t zone is oily and mostly my cheeks are dry. I use cetaphil for oily skin with my clarisonic every other morning. Just cetaphil on the opposite mornings. Followed by Correctionist time correcting creme. (when that is gone I want to try Olay Pro-X Age Repair Lotion) I use Monistat Chafing Gel as a primer, and then Smashbox BB Creme or Revlon Colorstay. I tend to get white heads wearing makeup every day, so some times skip a day here and there.
At night I use Neutrogena oil-free makeup remover on my eyes. Wash my face with a washcloth and Cetaphil.
I have mild combination skin that is quite clear most of the time but occasionally prone to eczema flaking on my nose and left eyelid.
I wash my face before I go to bed with CeraVe cleanser and apply CeraVe lotion. If I have an eczema flare-up, I apply prescription cream to the affected area.
In the morning, I rinse only with water and apply CeraVe lotion.

Origins is the only line that keeps my skin in check. Checks and Balances cleanser and I use it with my clarisonic, followed by purifying tonic and balanced diet moisturizer and plantscription eye cream. I also have modern friction exfoliator but I really don't need it since my mom gave me the clarisonic.
I have combination skin and my skin care routine is based on dermatologist recommended products for antiaging.
I wash with CeraVe both morning and night. Moisturize in the morning with a little Vitamin C serum (I use the beyond belief brand from Sally's), and then apply a BB cream with antioxidants and SPF 30.
At night I apply Retin-A after washing. For a while I used Neova night therapy as copper peptide products are great for antiaging, but it's expensive and doesn't last long. I got tired of the price and have been using plain old Cetaphil moisturizer at night but will eventually break down and start using the Neova again.
I use Simple's Regenerating Age-Defying Cleanser, morning and night
In the morning I use Skinceuticals Phloretin CF serum (which has antioxidants), Makeup Artist's Choice Glycoaluronic Serum (for anti-aging and moisturization), Kiehls Panthenol Protein moisturizer (not really a fan, but will use it until it's gone), and Boscia Enlivening AG Eye Cream.
At night, I use Retin-A (anti-aging and anti-acne), Makeup Artist's Choice DMAE serum (anti-aging), Creme de la Mer (moisture), and Revive Moisturizing Renewal Eye Cream
I wash with Cetaphil, use l'oreal eye cream and Olay classic moisturizer for sensitive skin. I exfoliate twice a week with St Ives Apricot scrub. I keep it simple.

I have acne prone skin and in the past, I used ALL THE PRODUCTS to make the acne go away. But all I did was dry out my skin and caused more breakouts. I finally learned my lesson that less is more.
1. Wash with Ole Henriksen African Red Tea foaming cleanser (morning, pre-work out and evening)
2. Moisturize with Ole Henriksen Vitamin Plus
3. 2 days a week I exfoliate with Ole Henriksen Walnut Complexion Scrub.
I got a sample of a Murad product and LOVED it so I splurged on the full size bottle. I use it a couple times a week at night, after washing and before moisturizing. It is Murad Complete Reform with Glyco Firming Complex.
Wash with cetaphil, moisturize with spectro. I used cetaphil moisturizer for years but recetly started breaking out and I love the spectro one. 5 minutes a day and under $5 a month.
