What have you been told was normal range for fasting glucose? I have been told quite a variety of things, so curious. DH is 31 and his fasting is about 104. His dad has type 2 diabetes. I am concerned a little, but MIL thinks his glucose is "great!".
Fasting glucose of 100-125 is considered to be pre diabetes. Diabetes is a fasting of 126 or greater. Diagnosis can also be made from a glucose tolerance test or a hemoglobin A1c.

What others have said as far as his numbers. MIL probably thinks his numbers are great, compared to his father's numbers.

This is in Pre-diabetes range, but other factors should be considered. A visit with a registered dietitian can get him on the right track and keep him off meds for as long as possible. DO NOT panic. He caught this in time.
70-100 is the normal range. The guidelines for fasting glucose for someone who is diabetic is higher so that's why MIL probably thinks it's great. I would consider him at risk for pre-diabetes and eventually diabetes and ask the doctor to run a A1C test next time he's in as well and keep tabs on it. In the meantime I would take preventative action with diet and exercise just to make sure his numbers stay in the ok range long term.

This. At just over 100, I think he's probably slipping into bad territory...
