I've been meaning to get a weather radio for a long time now as part of our emergency kit. I suppose I am looking for a hand crank one that can also operate on batteries.
If you have one that you like, can you please recommend it? With this kind of radio, can you listen to normal, local stations, or are there specific weather stations it picks up? Thanks!
You can also use it to charge your cell phone. It does AM/FM and noaa weather bands. it has an alert mode. It has a battery which is an odd size I can't remember the size. It charges by crank, solar, USB, and USB wall or car charger. The wall adapter is optional and I just used an extra one I had from an old phone. I takes a long time to charge the phone using the crank, but it works well if you have no other option to charge the phone. The radio itself charges quickly. Just wish it was waterproof.
