Mainly, my professional experience has been as an executive assistant. It's not bad but I have a BA and I'd like to do a job that is more rewarding. Administrative support is not my thing. I want more than that and I can do more than that given my skills (fluent in 3 languages, I know a wide range of computer softwares...).
Given that I have no experience in something else (I was a marketing assistant for a little while for a luxury brand) how can I convince recruiters that I can do non-administrative job?
It depends, are you looking into moving up (i.e. management positions or program specialist positions) or doing something totally different and venture in like product management or marketing... etc.
It helps if you know what positions you want to do.
Yeah I sort of know what I want to do but I can do so many things, it's hard to narrow it down. I am not looking to be a manager, more into product management or marketing like you said.

The job market is so tough right now, that your best bet might be getting a job as an assistant in a department that you want to move up in and go from there. Then as you show you are able to take on more tasks ask that more be assigned to you so you can grow in your career. If you want to do marketing, don't have a ton of direct experience and only have a BA, that's probably your best bet.
I would include that in my cover letter. When I wanted to make my career change, I explained the reason why and highlighted what my previous job has taught me valuable things that can be used on the new line of work I was going for.
Take that with a grain of salt because it worked for me but Im not an expert.
If you're looking into getting into marketing that might be a tough one because it's so competitive. How long were you a marketing assistant? I would recommend starting out by volunteering with either non profits or related professional orgs and start taking on marketing tasks. At least that will give you some recent experience.
