I've already outspent last year by 2k!

I went a little out of control this year with the spending. The last couple months we've really been reigning it back in, but I was looking over my credit spending and with two MONTHS to go until the end of the year, I've already spent 2k more that I spent in all of 2011! Not to mention I still have Xmas and DD's birthday coming up in Dec.

I'm going to need some austerity measures here.

I would not even attempt to add anything like that up - although I know we spent a ton more last year because we put in a pool/patio/outdoor kitchen and got a bunch of furniture. Even seeing the total in general would probably make me squeamish.

We've already spent $13k more than last year. Though I suppose that's expected because we purchased a new car (and paid cash). That's definitely not something we normally do.

No austerity for us though. We've been saving a long time and hopefully we've still got a house purchase coming up this year... And goodness knows how many more big purchases related to that. We'll see if I manage to keep from flipping our as our savings account drains away...
