When someone leaves a voice mail at my work number, the message is transcribed and emailed to me. Sometimes the transcription gets messed up a bit, but this one takes the cake.
"This office. My name is xxxxx for xxxxxxx a state board of good food call me hoping that you'll be alright. I am gonna be representing xxxxxx and this legitimate shouldn't Joe filed. It doesn't sound like we got a lot of, lot of issues and nothing really fired over. Call me xxxxxxx I'll be following up so but no answer and I guess, I think to do my job. I need to verify his income and I'm sure you'll probably wanna verify her cholesterol. They would take care of. Thank you. bye bye."
My favorite part is about me checking her cholesterol, lol. I'm also stumped by the "state board of good food", but am hoping that they might have a job opening, because that would be AWESOME!
And this is why voice recognition software will never completely replace court reporters. Also this is why the courts that replaced their court reporters with voice recognition software to save money almost always wind up going back to humans.

I want to work there too! I gave up on a few apps because of things like that. At work we use Dragon Speak and that does a pretty good job once you get it trained.
