I have two good friends who recently had baby girls. I would like to buy baby blankets as gifts for the baby. Besides A+A blankets, what are your favs?
This post is also inspired by my desire to buy DS a toddler quilt/blanket. The A+A ones he has are too thin now. Since he is tall, I am trying to decide if it's even worth getting a toddler quilt. He's done with sleep sacks already, boo.
I got a few stroller blankets monogrammed as gifts and they've really held up well after two years. I recently bought a toddler bed sized blanket and it's also great.
the little giraffe blankets are uh-mazing, but not cheap. they have throws too, which BB could use. We actually had someone make E a quilt - it was for her isolette, but it's much larger than a baby quilt and comes in really handy now since it still is big enough for her.

Our favorite ones are all handmade (MIL quilts and sews, and other friends crochet and quilt).
I'd probably just go into a cute baby boutique and look for the softest one I could find. DD loves one that has a super soft fabric (there's a name for it which I can't remember --- it has little raised dots about the size of dimes or so and it's almost fuzzy) and has a silky edge. I'm actually bummed because it's way too small for her to cover up with now.

We received the Carter's ones as a gift and while they are super soft, they aren't that big. It was great last year when they were little, they aren't as useful anymore. Try some of the baby boutiques and see if they have anything bigger.
Thanks again for the recs ladies! We received many handmade blankets but they are sized for cute little babies and not my giant toddler. lol. It looks like PBK has the biggest toddler quilts.
However, for anyone curious I decided to buy personalized piggy banks for my friends who just gave birth to little girls:
