I ordered a pair of running pants, a tech tee, long sleeve running tee and a runnin jacket from target.com. The package came today and I just opened it. It had my invoice inside and was addressed to me. Inside were two random items inside - a red sweater and a child's jacket. WTF? I received two items and none of the four I ordered an we're on te invoice. Is this going to be a PITA to return? Moreover I want the stuff I ordered.
Do you have your confirmation email that they would have sent after you placed your order? That would give you some proof of what you actually ordered.

I had this happen once but with a gift being sent to me. The invoice was correct (for a baby item that we had registered for) but didn't say who the item was from. However, the item inside was completely random and they claimed it was something not sold by Target stores or online. After a ridiculous amount of time, they were never able to determine who tried to send the baby item and I got a refund for the amount of that item, and just bought it myself. I felt terrible b/c I never could send a thank you note to that person.
I ordered 4 95" curtain panels all in the same order. One was 95", one 93", and two were 94". I guess they have no quality control. I hope I don't have trouble returning them to the store.
this happened to me with amazon and my slip was tucked right behind their slip...anyways, they paid for me to ship those items back and resent my items
Yeah I am going to call them later today when I have time. Target returns are very "by the book" so I am just concerned that they will shrug their shoulders at the store and be unable to assist since I don't have the actual items I ordered.

If your first attempt to return isn't successful, I'd call in a few days and say your items never arrived (which is true). They should send out a replacement.
