Just checking to see how the MMM kiddos are doing with the time change.
It's going better than expected at our house. M woke at 5:15 but went back down pretty easily. He was up for the day at 6:15. We weren't able to keep him up any later than normal so I'm pretty happy that he slept an extra hour.
DS was up at 5:45. I consider that a success. DD is still sleeping at 7:00. We kept them up an hour later last night and DD was in full meltdown mode so I'm not at all surprised that she is sleeping in.
DD did MUCH better then I expected. She woke up at 5:30 throwing a little fit, but went right back to sleep and slept until 7:45, which is her normal time (an hour later then normal, yay!). She went to bed a few minutes later then normal last night, but she does that a lot so I didn't expect it to help. She did take a super short nap yesterday, though, and then we had a birthday party all afternoon, so she was tired. Any way it happens, I'll take it!
DS got up at 6:50, which we expected. We waited a bit to put him down for his nap in order to attempt to get him on a "normal" schedule. We'll see what happens tomorrow.
DD slept until 6:30, which is awesome given her age. I nursed her and brought into bed with us and she dozed for another 2 hours, ate and went back to sleep again. She did go to bed later than normal but had lots of naps yesterday.
DH and I had a leisurely breakfast and coffee together today, which never happens! It's his birthday so I guess he deserves it

DS1 was up for the day at 6, which is actually a little later than normal. DS2 was up for the day shortly after 5, which is not unheard of, but is about 45 minutes earlier than usual. If he would just sttn I could handle the early wake-ups better.
We had C's meet the baby party last night which did a good job of keeping him up late. He slept 10:30-3:30, ate, fussed a bit and then slept 4:30-9. Not bad.
I heard our gal wake up at 6:30 (new time), which is her usual wake-up time of 7:30, but she paid attention to her Good Nite Lite and didn't actually get out of bed until 7:30 (new time)!
(The Good Nite Lite is a nite light that you set to turn yellow like the sun at whatever wake-up time you want and then blue like the moon at whatever night time you'd like. It's worked beautifully for us the past couple of years.)
Dd got up at 630 new time, though she'd been sleeping till 8 old time. We tried to keep her up later last night, but it wasn't happening. All day she has been a nightmare as we're still going forward with dropping the morning nap. I just put her down for her afternoon nap and she's playing in the crib. Fingers crossed its a long one. I also finally bought black out curtains so we'll see how those work.

It wasn't too bad. DD1 woke up at 6:45 and DD2 woke up at 7:30. We had TOTing here last night and both kids were exhausted by bedtime. That certainly helped.

DS was up at 5:30 new time, which is typical for him (6:30 old time is actually sleeping in a bit.) I'm happy with it, especially since he was only up once last night. Weirdly, he went to sleep an hour earlier than usual.

DD #1 was up at 6:30. Not bad, considering that was 7:30 as far as her body was concerned, and I know she was hungry. DD #2 lasted another half hour, again better than I expected given that she hadn't eaten dinner the night before.
The real test will be tonight, since if they go to bed at "normal" time it's an hour later than they are used to. But we have no school tomorrow due to teacher work days so at least it gives us a couple of days to fully adjust.
We kept her up last night, not on purpose- we were at a party. She still woke up at 6am (she normally gets up at 7am no matter what so makes sense). For some reason, she didnt nap until almost 930 which was good and then we pushed lunch until 1130 and her afternoon nap was pushed due to inconsiderate visitors but it ended up working out.

This is us too. DS woke at 6:30 new time, which was his usual 7:30 wakeup old time. He was hungry as usual.
I hope tonight goes okay (fingers crossed). DS has always had a strong circadian rhythm, he gets tired when it gets dark. He very clearly wants to go to sleep at 7:30, so I don't know how he'll react when it's DARK at 5:30 and we'll be keeping him up until what he considers to be 8:30. I'm going to shoot for pushing his bedtime back by ~15 minutes every day until we get back to 7:30.

This is awesome, thanks! Just added it to my "when DS is older" Amazon wishlist.
Considering that our kids have been going to bed way too late and getting up too late lately, the end of daylight savings was very welcome around here. Our kids got up around 7am. Hopefully they will go to bed at 8:30/9 instead of 9:30/10, and we will be back on a better schedule. I freaking hate daylight savings!
Squirmy slept from 10-5 which is about her normal. Then woke up again at 7 and wanted to play. I let her play on her playmat for about 45 minutes then she got fussy and I tried to feed her and she just screamed bloody murder. I swaddled her and she fell asleep again for 15 minutes, woke up and still wouldn't eat for me. At that point it was 8 and I handed her to dh and went back to sleep til 10:30. He said she chugged her bottle for him. I guess she wanted her daddy
We woke her up at 8:45. She didnt get a good nap because we went to the zooand fell asleep in the car. I woke her up to feed her and run errands before she got her normal two hours in.
I forgot about the time change and she was grumpy at the end of the zoo trip, which was 30 minutes after her nap time.
