This is possibly super-silly, but here goes. I'm 13 weeks pregnant, and my bras are getting uncomfortable. Should I buy regular bras in a bigger size? or nursing bras? Is there such a thing as maternity bra? I'm pretty lost. Any recommendations? Thanks!
I just bought a couple cheap bras from TJ Max to hold me over since I didn't know if my size was going to change again. I wore sports bras almost every day in the third tri because nothing else was comfortable.
At 13 wks I would say just get a couple of cheap regular bras. Once you hit 30+ weeks you can start thinking about nursing bras, but you don't need anything special before then. Don't waste your money on anything "special" at this point. It simply isn't necessary.

I agree you should just find something inexpensive, since your size may change more. My band size went up during pregnancy, but went back to normal soon after. So had I bought nursing bras when pregnant, they wouldn't fit great now.
I'll be the odd one out. With my first, I had to buy larger regular bras by 9 weeks. I got a few cheapos from Target and they were fine. By 16 weeks I had outgrown them so at that time I made an appointment for a fitting at my hospital's women's boutique and the specialist recommended a nursing bra. They have a lot more give to them and worked well for me for the rest of the pregnancy. I was also able to use the same ones while nursing; my breasts grew SO much in pregnancy they just didn't get too much bigger when my milk came in.
Luckily so far my boobs have remained their normal size this time. Fingers crossed.
My current plan is to buy extenders first, bras second. I have some larger bras from my fatter days that I wear by fastening them to the first strap so I'm thinking this will get me to third tri. Fingers crossed.
You'll definitely want to pick up some extenders for later on since your ribs will rebound pretty quickly pp and you don't want to get bras with a too large band.

Oh I do want to say that when you get to your 3rd Trimester under wires are TERRIBLE. I would wear a bra to work and then unhook it as soon as I got into my car at the end of the day.
I bought a couple nursing bras by accident while pg. They were too small pp, but almost a year later, my boobs have shrunk a bit and I can wear them again. Since I'm still nursing, I'm glad to have them.
