This morning, I dropped my gigantic coffee mug. It landed straight on the bottom but the coffee splashed up in a geyser and it actually looked cool for a microsecond and then I realized there was 34 oz. of coffee on my table, walls, floor, and my pants.
I got a new workout DVD (Jillian Michaels' Ripped in 30) and while I like it a lot, I haven't worked out in two months and halfway through the last circuit I had to sit down and put my head between my knees because I thought I might puke or pass out. Laaaaame.
Lol, I have been putting off getting back into my Jillian dvds exactly for this reason. I havent worked out since right before my laparoscopy surgery in July I know its not going to be pretty!!!
Alzi, I had the heart palpitations too while pregnant. I always thought something was wrong with me, but the doctor told me it's completely normal. It's still annoying though.
poppyseed- same thing used to happen to my dog. We had to do allergy testing but once we figured out what he is allergic to and switched foods he was fine. ALSO, try this-
I am getting so sick of the heart palpitations and heart pounding feeling. Doc said its normal, extra blood, blah blah. It's really uncomfortable and I don't like it.
Ugh I'm sorry Alzi. I had a pretty severe case of SVT while I was pregnant and it was really scary. I had to wear a heart monitor. But- since I had DS, I am totally back to normal. Take it easy & try not to worry too much about it. I know that's hard to do though.
We got our power back last night, and I got nine hours of sleep. That part felt amazing. But my pants feel really tight - not so amazing. I need to get back into a routine. We were staying with relatives most of last week, then took a weekend trip away so I've been eating junk.

Once I started using this on the pugs I never had to go to the vet, it clears it right up.
I hit my head really hard last night on the corner of a cabinet and it still hurts.
So do I just mix these things together and put them like drops in his ears? Thanks for the tip!
It's so weird because he never got them until a few months ago. They've been eating the same food for a long time, so I don't know what he would be allergic to. And I really don't have the money right now to get him tested. Ughhh.

Yes, I just poured out a little bit on the alcohol and dumped the other two ingredients in. I used a dropper to put it in their ears.

Hazel is breast feeding now. I switched her on Friday and aside from super sore nipples, it is going really well. I don't love it like I thought I would, but it's a hell lot easier than pumping.
I got to go shoe-shopping and dancing with friends this weekend. I got a pair of black wedge heels because I had exactly zero black heels in my closet - I'd thrown out all my old ones b/c they were in such sad shape.
I also got a pair of silly, kicky leopard-print Converse-style slide-ons that are just fun.
I made my first pumpkin pie of the season last night.
DH and I are going to DD1's PT conference this morning.
- Rough start to the morning with DS bumping his mouth on one of the ottomans. I was drying my hair, heard him cry, and went to see what he was doing, he was sitting and looked fine until he opened his mouth and I saw blood. Of course I freaked but it stopped bleeding almost immediately and he is perfectly fine. I am trying to reassure myself that I am not an awful mom and that it is an accomplishment to get to 18 months w/o any antibiotics or blood.
- A lady gave me her expensive ticket for the DC Metro Cooking show. She saw us in line and offered to give it to me because her DH couldnt make it. DS and I were just going to wander the general exhibition area but we got to see Jacques Pepin and his daughter do a cooking show. Super cool! So to keep the karma going- I donated the $$ I was planning on spending to a charity that feeds kids.

Melo, this is awesome! How did you get things to turn around?
It took about 3 weeks but my nips dont hurt anymore. It will get easier!
thanks. I just started putting her to the boob after just pumping a little. Did a little less each feeding and by friday night, she was latching like a pro.
I'm so glad to hear you guys say it gets better b/c I am feeling so guilty over all tears cried about not being able to bf and now that I can it's not that great, lol.
Poppy--I Loved getting the pumping breaks at work. Get some good books, enjoy your breaks!
Alzi--sometimes I think my heart is racing, especially at night right when I go to bed and it is starting to get scary. I need to pay more attention to it

Melo, at first, I hated bfing and liked pumping way better. Now, I love bfing and hate pumping, lol. It gets easier.
The ladies in my playgroup are so frustrating sometimes. I scheduled a playdate at my house for today. Two women posted in our group they want to stay on their main street and set up a lunch playdate by them. Ok fine. NBD. But my house is only about 3miles from theirs. So not too far. I also set up a playdate last week that no one came to. Now I'm self conscious that there's something wrong with me or my house. I baked truffle brownies so its their loss.
I just doublechecked my voter registration and shuddered because it said I was registered as a Republican. Then I remembered I voted for Romney in the GOP primary because I just couldn't stomach the idea of Santorum on the national ticket. (I live in IL. The state's going Obama tomorrow no matter what).
We got in a car accident leaving the lake house yesterday we swerved to avoid a deer, went off the road and slammed into a fence and then into a small ditch. Luckily we are ok, the dogs are ok and the car only has body damage.
I took the week of work because my Husbands boss invited me to 2 company dinners up here. Yay for a week at a hotel and fancy dinners but I'm nervous that they are trying to recruit DH.
DON'T SWERVE. Its better to hit the deer 9 times out of 10.

Poppy, Dogs can develop allergies even after eating the same food all the time. Which food are you feeding now? That solution someone posted I bought a bottle like you use to color your hair and mix it all together then shake it up and clean out your dogs ears. I am trying to find the website for you. The violet will stain though so wear gloves or take them outside.
I don't know if it's better to hit the deer or not... out of me and my 3 best friends, we have totaled 6 cars from hitting deer. That's the major downside of living in the country...
