I've heard many stories lately of super fast deliveries of second babies and I keep hoping that's my experience. Today a lady at preschool told me her second was 26 hours of labour shattering all the other stories that talked about 20 minutes to 3 hours.
Too much time on my hands to be thinking about this.
With DS 2.0, I was in labor for less than 24 hours and he was delivered within 2 hours of my water breaking. He was out on the second push.
We went to our cabin over the weekend. We left our pumpkins in the house (two on the floor in our entry way, one on the kitchen counter, and one on the dining room table). We came home to them all being moldy puddles in their respective spots. So I ended up mopping 2 floors and cleaning the kitchen/dining room at 9:00 last night. Don't ever leave carved pumpkins in your warm house if you are going to be gone for a couple days!
I went into the office for a couple hours today and now I'm even more scared to go back full time then I was before. Everything has changed, my office has even been re-arranged by the two newbies....which I'm not very happy about, but I digress!

Whoa! They rearranged your office? Without permission? Why?

I was in labor for 12 hours with K and pushed for 2 hours. Take that as you will!
DH just called me because he picked up DD from daycare. He said they were trying to feed her when he walked in but she was a little fussy...then she saw him and lost it and cried really hard. He said she's fine now, but
When I came home from my first day back at work the boys lost it, too. They were with Jake and his mom all day -- people they knew, well, ish to his mom -- but they absolutely just bawled and wanted to be held by me, etc.
The next day they were like "wait, who are you? Oh hey! That's cool," and back to playing lol.

I'm not sure. And I was too taken aback to ask. To be fair, my section is a 6 person section, 3 of which are new. We have one vacant position, my supervisor who had a family emergency shortly after I left and wasn't in the office much, and my cubicle mate who moved to another state 3 weeks after I left so the newbs were kind of left to their own devices. I think it was their way to get organized since no one was there that knew what was going on.

These first couple days will be tough.
I sent Leo to daycare and he outright refused the bottle. It was heartbreaking for me. The first couple weeks he would take down 6 oz during a 9 hr day. I was so worried that I was ruining him. But fast forward two months and he loves her. And now he takes down 6 oz in each bottle. It is a process, but she will adjust very quickly.

Cuddly- sorry if it seemed like we were all piling on you. I know how it can be with a sick pet and no time or money. Just know that there are options, you usually just have to fight to get at them.
Hopefully there's an e-vet that you can get in to after hours and look into Care Credit too, for $ options.
I got the kitty into a clinic on Wednesday, so now I've just got to rearrange my hours for Wednesday so I can get home, pick her up and get her up there. They're going to do the full work up on her outside of the urinalysis so we can see if she's healthy enough for surgery outside of the infection. Now I need to plan my "she can pee on this" outfit.
Speaking of pumpkins- we live in a condo and have 2 (1- medium and 1-small) pumpkin in the hallway outside of our door. I overheard our d-bag neighbors saying that they were writing to the condo association today because they have been out there and Halloween is over. Ummmm dude- I was going to take them in yesterday but since you had to be passive-aggressive, talk shit, and decide to go to the condo board and not us they will be out there for a full week. Oh- and next time you don't break down your boxed in the trash room expect a letter from the condo board.

Thanks Scotty. :-) The clinic is really nice, they have a payment plan so I'm going to get us started on that--it'd be less than $60 and will cover the exam, the bloodwork/urinalysis, the x-ray and updating her shots. So yay! I just have to make sure the boss is cool with it (he should be) and that DH is okay with the kids for a little longer than usual. I hope they get her fixed up quickly and if she needs surgery, she's healthy enough for it.

I swear Dh is going for some kind of record. He has pulled major dick moves three times in seven days, and I'm about to just walk out of the door when he gets home.
