As you know, I love reading. My credit card rewards add up to gift cards, and I just got a $25 for Amazon. I plan on stocking up my Kindle with summer reading. I am planning on 50 Shades, Losing Clementine, Bungalow, and maybe one more. I am giddy with English teacher enthusiasm!
As a side note, what the hell is 50 Shades about? I'm hearing all of this hoopla about it, and have no clue what the big deal is. Can someone please enlighten me?

It's a poorly written twilight erotica fanfic.
I happened to be home when the author was on The View a couple weeks back. You would think after watching her interview and all the discussion on that show about the books then I might want to read it, but nope. It turned me off from it even more as they made it sound even more dumb than I already imagined it to be.

Part of me wants to read 50 Shades just to see how bad it is. What I really wonder is, why is this particular book getting so much buzz. There are tons of poorly written trashy erotic novels out there. What's different about this one?
I think the bored housewife contigent felt it was an "acceptable" excuse to read erotica since it's Twilight fan fic. Like, they'd never in a million years to buy a dirty book, but this is not shameful.

Thanks for the info, I think I'll be skipping it for sure!
