I had consistent contractions all day Saturday. They were about five minutes apart all day, but never got any stronger. So after a baby shower in the morning and shopping all afternoon, I went home and relaxed a little. They didn't go away, but I wasn't convinced I needed to go to the hospital just yet. So instead I went walking with my mom and sis for a while. They finally convinced me to call the doc, which obviously led to going into the hospital.
My biggest fear was that they would tell me I was crazy, there were no contractions, go home. lol I was contracting though, every 3-4 minutes while I was there. I got checked, was at 2 cm and 50%. I knew what that meant-go home! I was told they were just waiting for the results of the urine test before they could discharge me. Turns out I have a UTI, which is what was causing the contractions. Boo!
I was bummed, even though it would have been about three weeks early. Now, I'm just miserable mostly. Uncomfortable, tired, etc, etc. I have 19 days left to go and it sounds like an eternity. I'm usually a pretty patient person, but with the false alarm, I've lost darn near all my patience! All I can do now is keep myself busy to occupy my time.
Sorry about the UTI they can be a real pain!! Hopfully the meds they gave give you relief from the contractions so you can at least go through the rest of the time with little to no discomfort. I know what you mean about losing some patience I have like a week left an no signs of anything no contractions NOTHING!!!
