I haven't completely confirmed it as the problem yet, but DS has been waking up at ~4am upset. That's about the time the temp in the house gets too cool to sleep without a blanket. His diaper is also typically wet by then. He's never complained about a wet diaper in the past, but he seems to be starting to take notice (yay!). When I go to change it, diaper is cold which I'm sure doesn't feel good.
So last night I put a disposable on him and stayed up later to cover him up with more blankets before going to bed. This morning he slept until 5:45 (when we need to get up). So I'm not sure if it was the diaper or blankets.
Long story short, if it's the diaper, is there anything else I can do or do I need to go buy some over night disposables (his PJs were wet this morning with the regular one)? He currently uses Thirsties Duos diapers overnight so no stay dry lining. I have BGs too that I can extra stuff so there is stay dry if that might help.
Ditto the PP, in that if you aren't already using a fleece liner, I would definitely start there. You don't have to buy special ones; you can just buy some fleece at the fabric store and cut it to size.
I'm torn on what to do with PJs because right now it's still warm in the house (77-78) when he goes to bed so I don't want him dressed too warmly. But when it drops to 74-72 over night (we don't turn the heater on until about 68-70), it's chilly for him.
Also, he's in a toddler bed so it needs to be something he can move in so he doesn't fall getting out of the bed.
And our heat is set at 62 at night and we dont put it on until the outside is below that! I can't even imagine putting on the heat if the temp is 68. (I can tell the differences here between northerners and southerners lol)

That is an inside temp of 68, outside is getting into the 40's at night. But yes, big difference between N and S as to what is comfortable. Most N would die at our A/C setting averaging 78-79 when we're home (and 78 feels chilly to me if I'm just hanging out, not moving around a lot). Any colder than 66-68ish and I get sick at night from breathing the cold air and my nose being cold.
