I was at my parents house (we were still in college) and MH was coming to pick me up and we were going to meet up with my family at my sister's volleyball tournament. When he got to my house he came inside and said "I have a surprise for you. Close your eyes." So I did and put my hands out, palms up, figuring he stopped at the gas station and got me a candy bar or something. After a minute he told me to open my eyes and when I did he was down on one knee. He said some lovey, dovey things to me and then asked. I full-on ugly cried. It was lovely.
MH actually hates that he proposed to me like this but I think it's sweet. He feels like he should've done something more grand and romantic but he knew I'd figure him out.

I loved reading all of these!
H's proposal wasn't anything extravagant. No biggie. I'm going to give y'all the extended version with more details than you really care to read.
We had decided on a ring almost a year prior and he never ordered it and never ordered it and never ordered it, so finally I asked him about it and he said, "Pull up the website and let's do it." So I got my computer and put in all of his information for payment to order my ring.
We had it sent to the office of the company that we both worked for (I worked in the office). I was all excited because I would be the person signing for it until I realized that we were taking that week off for vacation.
He told me that he had to "swing by work " before class on Wednesday of our vacation. I was suspicious, of course, and trying to be cool about it. Then he pocket dialed me! I heard things like "oh, the box is beautiful", "look at the sparkle", "she's going to love it", etc. I was running though the house, jumping up and down, being a total chick about it! I figured out that he had stopped by his mom's office to show it off.
We were leaving Thursday afternoon to go to his family reunion and I never said a word about knowing he had the ring in-hand. Friday afternoon, we all went to visit Longhorn Caverns. I *hoped* that he would propose while we were down in the center of the earth, but it didn't happen. It's cool.
The whole family went back to the cabin to cook dinner and settle in for the night. After dinner, I was helping clean up and H said "Let's go for a walk." I told him that I was in the middle of helping clean up and I don't want to be worthless. He insisted I go and so did everyone else (because they knew).
As we were walking out the door past his brothers, I said "Are we going for a walk walk or just a stroll?" (I'm concerned because I'm wearing flip flops.) He said just a stroll. So we walk off to a pier and at this point I'm thinking but not getting my hopes up that he's going to pop the question. And he did. I didn't really know how to react since I'm knew it was going to happen soon, so I just lamely said "Really? Really? Really?" Then I confessed that he pocket dialed me and he was slightly disappointed. As we were walking back to the cabin he said "you didn't answer the question." HA Whoops!
He later told me that he had every intention of proposing while we were underground, but in all honesty, the guide was so obnoxious and there were WAY too many people around in a confined space for him to feel comfortable pulling out my rock! He also made fun of me for sounding like a bitch in front of his brothers by whining about going for a walk.
On Christmas Eve, we packed up all of our presents to exchange gifts with his parents because I had to work the next morning. As we were pulling in to their driveway, he told me I had forgotten a gift in the tree. I told him that, no, I didn't forget any gifts under the tree, and he told me he said IN the tree.
After we did gifts with his parents, we went back and I searched the tree. I was expecting some earrings or something, but it was my engagement ring instead
