A chip of some sort, maybe kettle chips. Or if you want it to be small enough to serve in a brandy glass, that sesame cracker-wasabi pea mix is good with beer. Do you have a World Market store? They have tons of snacky mix type of foods. Trader Joe's should also have a good selection at this time of year.
There is a popular food website somewhere where someone asked about snacks for a beer tasting party, and someone suggested a "make your own snack mix" bar.
I can't remember the website, sorry, it's been a while. I think they basically put out different containers off snack mix ingredients, peanuts, cashews, bagel chips, pretzels, sesame sticks, crackers, dried fruit, chocolate pieces, etc...then they gave everyone containers to blend their own mix.

thanks so much ladies!!! great ideas! where do i get spicy popcorn? i never had it. would a regular grocery store carry it , like acme? or should i go to trader joes?...its a bit of a hike for me, but will go if there's a good selection.
For spicy popcorn, just pop a big batch (with oil, not air popped or it won't hold the seasoning) and toss with cayenne pepper and parmesan, or Cajun seasoning (my favorite).
