I am really excited about it. My monitor has been on the fritz lately so it's time for a new one. I was just going to replace it with a similar one (21.5") but DH talked me into a really high-resolution large one since it'll be a big productivity booster for my work (graphic designer). And the price is great.

I feel dorky being so excited about a monitor.
I have a 27" monitor at work. It is glorious, especially after working exclusively on a laptop for eight years.
The Marta train I was on broke down, so I was late for my conference.
Boo. I really want to like Marta, but sometimes they just suuuuuuuck.
Me too. I lived in Chicago for years and loved the El, rode it everywhere. Marta.... not so much. even though I live very close to two Marta train stations and several bus stops.

Yay! I actually have a dual monitor setup using my laptop (15" retina MacBook Pro) so I am especially excited about having a higher resolution second monitor. It is hard to switch between the retina display Mac and my crap low-resolution 21.5" monitor from 2005.

DH and I are building a new farmhouse table for our dining room, and we need to be further along than we are if we want to finish before Thanksgiving.
DH built us a farmhouse table a couple of years ago for Thanksgiving too!! I absolutely love it!! He's made me a vanity bench and our coffee table. He has a long list of stuff I want him to make for our house.
I just ordered the invites for our ugly sweater party. I like parties!
I confirmed with Mom last night that I will host Thanksgiving, but that was only after about 10 minutes of back-and-forth, "Oh, I don't care, I'll do whatever YOU want to do." This is what happened when I offered to host last year, and then afterward I heard through the grapevine that she was upset about it.
There is one girl i kind of hit it off with and I could see being friends.
She gave me her phone number and said she'd like to hang out.
I feel like a dude or something and am deciding when to call so it doesn't seem weird. Lol.
I hope you find some new pals. I met a new lady via my old neighbor. I really clicked with her, but did not get her number. Right after we moved to San Antonio, they moved over here too. Old neighbor hooked us up on facebook. We met up with them after a few months of us all being in new area. We found our house in their neighborhood, now we are all good buddies. They are just like us, we socialize within reason. It feels good to have new friends.
I've been sick for over a week and can't shake this stupid cold.
We are using the plans from Ana White. I'll post a pic when we are done.
Just looked it up. GORGEOUS! We actually could maybe use a farmhouse table in our home... how expensive/labor intensive a project was this? I'd love to hear all about it... maybe in person at a GTG? (I)
My random, apparently Giant heard that an IUD feels like the tip of a pen for guys. He's all weirded out by it. I never even thought what it would feel like for a man, so I've been stroking my pen all morning. :/

Tell your doc to leave the strings long. The poking only happens if they cut the strings short. It's like the end of a fishing line. My doc left them long (like, a couple inches), so they curl up around my cervix. No poking or feeling.
H has been engaged in a year-long dispute with the Ukranian Ministry of Telecommunications that may come to an end today. The whole thing is ridiculous but he refuses to drop it.
AAAnnnnd I'm upset that no one ever asks me what I want for Christmas. Ever. With all these wishlists floating around I realized I haven't made one in probably 10 years because no one cares anyway. They just buy me things and I act polite.

I am starving already and it is not even 11 am yet. I already ate a granola bar.
I have more vacation & personal days to use before the end of the year, but not sure when to use them. I would love to use one Friday but that might not be a good idea before a short week. Maybe I will take a couple Fridays off in December.

Oh good stuff. I will definitely tell her. Thanks!
I used to have this heater, we got rid of it when we moved because we no longer had a need for it. It's cute and put out a lot of heat! I'd buy it again if I needed it.
Today was Thanksgiving lunch at my office and now I want to take a nap. I blame all the carbs.
I also have been on weight watchers and just hit my 5% weight loss goal, two days before my official weigh-in. I want it to be Friday so my weight loss actually counts.
I had a derm appointment this morning ( yay six months no more suspicious moles!) He noticed the red patches on my arms and said they are a genetic marker for eczema.
He suggested I should stop using pretty scented body wash and switch to something like dove. I'm mourning my cheap smelly bath and body works bath crap, but I know he's right.
