One of my students invited me to lunch today, she is in a sorority and as part of Greek week they were allowed to each invite a faculty member to lunch. I was honored she picked me (and happy I am wearing something nice and not dumpy like yesterday, haha).
DH got a vaccine this morning in preparation for our upcoming move. They've given the soldiers a number of vaccinations specific to the move, actually.
And yet, no one has said anything about vaccinations for spouses that are moving. Sure, some of what my husband is getting might be due to specific exercises and expectations for what he'll be doing over there, but when I hear about him getting some of them it makes me wonder what I need. (eg: CDC recommends I get a typhoid vaccine... that's one I'd much rather have the vaccination for than deal with the risk of exposure... And my current typhoid vaccine will expire while I'm overthere...)
