I'm so tired. I work late tonight, then have to wrestle a meal into the tiny beast. Then I get to go to Target to try to hunt down a rubbermaid litterless juice box. And I'm pretty sure I'll scream if I hear "so what's for dinner" from H.
Basically, I'm stressing because of what's on my mind.

how much I hope to make good connections tomorrow at a job fair that I'm going to, and how much I want to finish my novel, but am yet still so unmotivated to work on it. LOL.
How fast time is marching along. I've been such a slacker on updating my résumé and checking things off the wedding to-do list. I'm also ill-prepared for Thanksgiving and not at all prepared for early Christmas. I only have 3 weekends left before my parents arrive in town. I need to set up the guest room as well. I've been procrastinating that for a year now.
All I really want to do is curl up in bed and sleep.

Baking. I get on a major baking kick around the holidays. And I'm really annoyed that we just bought Call of Duty Black Ops 2 (released yesterday) and the servers have been down all day.
How much I don't want to study the HIPAA section in my test prep workbook.
Worry about Scotty throwing up two days in a row. Even though his appetite has seemed up. I'm hoping it's just stress related to things being moved in the apartment. He's a very sensitive cat.

My Christmas budget and how much I don't want to go Black Friday shopping (which, BTW, starts on Thanksgiving). I just want to relax with my kid, not have a panic attack in an overcrowded store. But I might not have a choice if I want to stay within budget.
Woke up this morning with a slight fever, chills, a sore throat, swollen lymph nodes and body aches. I'm at work but I don't think that's going to last past noon. I'm trying to get in touch with my doctor. I want meds.
I want my baby to go to bed before midnight. I don't feel that this is asking too much but the little jerk had to get his brother's cold. Why must they share everything??
That my internet service at home is working on my last nerve.
It worked up until something like 11/1. We got a new modem and still nothing. When I got the new modem, Verizon told me there were no outages in the area, and they ran a check on the phone and everything was fine. I am not looking foward to having to call Verizon this weekend and deal with the nice people who barely speak english to try and fix the problem.
I'm fuming right now over basically being uninvited to my neice's birthday party
I needs to vent: My sister sent a mass email last night about her daughter's birthday party. The plan was to do a party at this kids art place 10-12 and a family party at her house at 2.
Hart naps at 1, plus it's a 2 hour drive to get to her town and I'm not hanging around for 2 hours until the next party. So I told her we'd just go to the kids party and head home.
Her response: can't you JUST go to the family party?
My response: No, Hart would be a wild mess if we tried to keep him up for the 2 pm party - not festive
Her response: Well, that email I sent wasn't really meant for you because I have to pay per child at this art place and I wasn't going to invite you guys to that. Oops!
My response: So, we're not invited to the kids party? Fine, I'll send the gift with mom or dad

I almost emailed her back to ask if she's also uninviting her SIL and nephews since they were on the email list, too.
But it's not worth it. If she hadn't come across like a snob, I would have offered to pay his fee (which is $5 - I know this because I'm angry and I checked the website)

I think even considering 4 hours of driving with a toddler on behalf of your niece who would probably largely ignore you anyway puts you in contention for auntie of the year.

UGH! Lucky, that sucks! I know how frustrating that can be. I got a similar response when I responded to an invite to my nephew's birthday party earlier in the year.
They scheduled the party for 5pm, but we were all invited to his t-ball game at noon. I live 2.5 hours away. I politely responded that noon is naptime for DS, and a 5pm party would have us home at a ridiculously late hour (on a Sunday night). Her response was "Ooops! Sorry, I didn't mean to send that to you too! Sorry, please disregard the invite." Gee, thanks.
