I have two sensor lights connected to one switch. The sensor light instructions show that if you turn he switch off and on for 2 seconds, the light will switch to manual mode and stay on. We cannot get that to work. It's too late to return the fixtures but they are useless to us if we can't toggle them to manual mode. The sensor feature only keeps the lights on up to three minutes. Any ideas on what we are doing wrong? I feel like they are not flawed since both won't change to manual mode. Ideas?
Are the instructions supposed to mean: Turn the switch off, then turn the switch on for a length of 2seconds and then it will be in manual mode? Or flip between the two for two seconds?
Call the manufacturer, they should help troubleshoot if it isn't working.
We have something similar, but it's a 5-second wait. Say it's in the "on" position for the sensor mode. I have to turn it off, literally count out five seconds, then flip it back on. If I don't count fully to 5, it doesn't work at all. Same for switching it back to sensor mode. I sort of doubt that's your problem, since the instructions specifically say 2, but it would be an easy thing to test, giving it a bit longer of a wait.

It actually says a half second to two seconds. I will try longer tonight. Em, it says once its in on mode, shut it half second to two seconds and turn back on. If longer doesn't work, I will try hunting manufacturer info down. The didnt print it on the instructions.
Some luck. So I figured out how to get it to stay on. When the directions said you have to turn the switch on and toggle, it neglected to state you have to walk outside and physically make the sensor turn on before going back and toggling. So great, we've got that.
The problem is since we have both lights on one switch, and I only made one sensor go on to change to manual mode, they are permanently out of sync. For future toggles, one will be changed to manual mode and the other sensor mode. If all that makes sense. We may have to unwire them, then rewire to get back in sync. All in all, two sets of fixtures should probably not be on one switch.
