Just curious--are you older, younger, or about the same age at childbirth as other moms you know? I just realized that, at a few weeks short of 29, I'm the youngest in my moms' group by at least two years. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but it is a little weird.

I'm 28 and i estimate that most of the women in my mom's group are within 1-2 years of me either way. There's one older mom (maybe close to 40?) And one barely 20 something, but they're outliers.

Are you in PEPS? Do you love it?
DH and I are the youngest in ours by at least four years, I think. I am almost 32 and he's 31. People have kids older here for sure.
Yep, PEPS, and I do love it! I'm doing the daytime group while on leave. Our group totally clicks, and it's awesome! I figured we'd be "average" age, but apparently not, at least not among people of similar backgrounds (i.e., the type who join orgs like PEPS .

Younger by a bunch of years (like 5-10 years). I feel like the baby in both my mommy meetup groups. I have a couple friends around my age (26) though that I met through Little Gym or know from high school.
I'm very average for DD1s class--for most of us that kid is our oldest though a few have an older child. Many of us have a younger kid too. I'm 37 & had my first child at barely 29. I think 28-30 for a first is super common in my circles. Except my neighbors who tended to be late 30s at first kid. My old friends from home/college/grad mostly had them at an older age than me. But in the rural Midwest area I grew up in, the people that stayed there (or returned right after college) tended to have them in their early-mid 20s. Basically the more urban/well off the people I know, the older they were as first time parents.
Most of the moms I know are around my age- mid to late 30s. I have one friend who was 25 when her son was born, but he was a surprise. She's the same age as the kids I used to babysit for which floored me when I first figured that out.
When we lived in rural Ohio/appalachia I was definitely on the older side. In a bigger city I'm on the older side of average. First kid at 33 and third at 37.
Oldest by far, in both groups. Most of the moms in my drop-in group are late 20s/early 30s. Most of the moms in my MOMS group are probably early to mid 30s. I just turned 44, with an almost 3yo
When I had DS1 at 30 I was younger than most of the other moms at Gymboree, playgroups, etc., and most of the moms of kids in DS1's class at day care were older than me. None of our friends had kids yet. By the time I had DS2 at almost 33 our friends were starting to have kids. I will be 35 when #3 is born, and almost all my friends my age have at least one kid now.

I'm young compared to the other moms. I had DD at 30, and I'm 34 now. In her playgroup (all kids who will be the same year in school), there were two moms my age, and the rest (8 or 9) were in their late 30's. These were all our first kids. They always talk about how young I am. It's kind of funny.
Most of my friends from college and law school have kids around DD's age, so I think it's just where I live and the fact that I SAH. I'm guessing that most stay at home moms in my area are just older.
the more i think about it the more i have no idea how old most of the moms are, I guess I'm assuming we're all late 20s? The ones at church are probably early 30s though but they all have multiple kids.

I'm average, if not a bit older. I'm 31, and my FTM friends are around the same age. We moved back to h's small-ish hometown, so most of the people I know are old friends of his.
In NY, I was average-ish, but on the younger side. I was 32 when DD was born. The local moms with DC the same age ranged from about 30 to 40 then.
In Paris, I am on the older side. Many of the moms at DD's school are in their early 30s now, max. So they were having kids in their mid to late 20s. I only know maybe 1 or 2 people in NY who had any kids at all in their 20s.

I'm one of the older ones ... I had DD when I was practically 35 - most of the moms I know had 10 yo st that point. That's just where I live, where I work and where DD goes to dc - I'm right there with everyone else. We all started in ourmid to late 30's

We did the evening one and the families get together once/month still for dinner. I love them. The moms and dads also do regular nights out. It's been such an awesome thing for us.
We did the evening one too (the one that the H's attend also). I was also 29 and the youngest by quite a bit. Our group still meets every 2 weeks. Sadly, we've moved away, but keep in touch via email and Facebook. Here in Denver, my friends are just finally starting to try for babies, so I'm on the young side here too.
