I'm on the young side at daycare based upon the moms in DDs class. I'm 32 and DD is 3.
Out of my friends, most who have kids DDs age are older- most are mid to late 30s. Most of my friends my age and younger do not have kids yet. Not all are even married.
the more i think about it the more i have no idea how old most of the moms are, I guess I'm assuming we're all late 20s? The ones at church are probably early 30s though but they all have multiple kids.
You start to figure it out when they say things like "back in 1992 after I left the Peace Corp""
And I am all like "back in 1992 I had my 10th birthday"
Or the parent who went to the same high school as me but graduated in 1995. When I told them I graduated in 2000 he asked me if I had C as a teenager. Umm...it's 2012 and our kids are in the second grade together. Your math needs work.
I'm 27 and I have some friends with older kids, some also with babies, and some that won't have kids for a while. DS was a giant surprise - we would have been at least 30 if we were doing it on our own terms, lol.
Young. I was 26 when I had my first. Everyone in the moms group I tried to join was mid to late 30's.
It gets really ridiculous when I go to my 15 y/o nieces school functions. (We have custody of her). I need a huge sign that says NOT MOM. I get the worst looks from people! I'm almost 31 but look much younger :/
I'm 31 and the youngest by a few years. I'm also the only one with only one child. A few also have children older than DS, but I think I was still the youngest when DS was born, 28.

I'm 25. I think I'm about average maybe a little on the younger side for a first time mom. I was 21 when I had DD. Most people around here had their first in their early 20s. Most of the moms I'm friends with are older than me, but they also have older kids. A few of my closest friends are grandparents that have custody of their grandchildren.
