Do you feel comfortable at all letting the doctor know about this when you go in for your consultation? Not to bitch him/her out about it, but maybe just as a FYI, hey, hearing all this doesn't make anyone sitting in the waiting area feel comfortable about their medical privacy?

This. They may not realize how well they are being heard, and it's NOT out of line to ask that your info be kept on the d.l.. And good luck!
