Does RI allow 8 pm opening? I think the Target ad had 1 am as the opening for MA and RI. That time is too middle of the night to me to trek down there. I'd try for 8 pm though.
Yes, I got a dishwasher there 2 years ago. They did not hand out tickets or anything- they opened the doors and everyone started running. It was crazy.

My experience last year with appliances was that they actually were available online before the store opened....even the door busters. I had actually gone up early to wait in line (we were buying a fridge, microwave, and stove) but when I went on my phone I saw I could go ahead and purchase. Then about 3 hours later they cancelled my order stating when they went to pull the items they weren't in stock. It took a very long phone call to customer service but I managed to get them to honor the door buster prices.
Sears.com is doing a special door buster thing online. *Some items are already on sale. We were looking for a TV but it wasn't on there tonight. H said there's a Kenmore fridge but that he thought it was about $2000.
I would gladly pay the extra $200 at a scratch and dent to avoid Sears on BF. That is, if the scratch and dent offers warranties on it's appliances. We have a GE scratch and dent store here that still offers full warranties, and I can't even find anything wrong with 95% of the appliances in there.
Is that outlet sale going to end soon? If so, then could you buy it and not have it delivered until after Cyber Monday so if you happen to get it cheaper, you can return it without the hassle of shipping back. That's what we did on a washer/dryer that we just bought from Sears. I doubt I'll find cheaper but if so, we'll just return this set.
Black Friday frightens me. I would do scratch and dent but papiercherri has a good point about the warranty. I'd check into that first.
My general feeling about Black Friday is that my time and sanity is worth more than whatever money I would save by waiting in line for hours and bum-rushing a store with a crowd of strangers.

The scratch and dent is the Sears outlet. It includes the standard manufacturer warranty on all of their products! There is one in Fall River, Mass and right now they have 5 of the fridges, it appears that most of them were floor models.

Are you talking about Sears or Sears Outlet?
We bought our first washer & dryer at Sears Outlet on Black Friday a few years ago. It was in the middle of the day, so it wasn't busy, and they still had good deals. IIRC, they weren't all advertised, either. And these were all brand new, in the box models, too.
I think it's definitely worth it to make a trip to the Outlet, even if it's not for a doorbuster.

The fridge I am talking about is a kenmore, so it is only available at Sears and Sears outlet. It is a doorbuster at regular sears for $999 on Thanksgiving/black friday. It normally retails for about $1700.
They also have many of them at the local Sears Outlet store for $1200. That is the scratch/dent that I was talking about. They appear to have a bunch of floor models there that come with the standard warranty.
I believe since it is a kenmore that it is only available at Sears and/or Sears Outlet.
I'll admit it - we did Sears one year. It was a mad house and I have sworn to everyone who hears me that I will never do it again. People came out for HOURS (this is when it opened in the wee hours on Friday) and there were multiple doors into the store at the mall, so that was an added hassle. There was no control to say who was first in line got what they came for - if you could run faster or knock someone over, it was yours. The sales personnel are NOT prepared for the madhouse, and we got screwed in the check out lines because only certain items can be checked out in certain lanes (WTF?!?!?!). I'd try to find a similar deal elsewhere and save your own life.
