We spent the weekend being productive around the house and then shopping our hineys off. R wanted me to find some stuff for ideas for him to build in the workshop, so we hit up every freaking furniture store in a 30 mile area. Derr. But we figured it out.
This week is going to be very low-key for us, and I'm so glad.

I worked all weekend but Dh and I did get our winter comforter out and changed the curtains. My replacement kitchenaid mixer came Friday so I'm excited about that. I'm very much looking forward to my 4 days off the end of the week. We are leaving Wednesday late after I get off work to go to my mils house for thanksgiving. We will be back Friday afternoon. Next weekend we will decorate for christmas and put up our tree.
We had a lovely weekend. DH's family came in Saturday to do an early Thanksgiving so we are pretty much done with Thanksgiving festivities. I am pretty sure I talked DH into going out to eat Thursday so I don't have to worry about cooking a big feast for my little family. Yesterday after church we hung out with DH's parents and ate leftovers. It was nice and relaxing. This week has already started off with a bang. Potentially GREAT news for DH. He had a meeting with a local hospital about a job this morning. He is in medical admin. and they are starting a new position that they have ear marked for him. It would be at least a $15K raise and there is a 15% productivity bonus as well. He is nervous about leaving his current job because change scares him, but it will be a step into the hospital and that is where he really wants to work. We will know all the details soon and if everything falls into place he should have his actual offer letter in three weeks so he can start Jan. 1. Yikes and Yeah. Since that is the start of the week I can't wait to see what the rest of the week holds.
Oh, and we should get windows installed at the house this week so I look forward to our weekly trip on Saturday so I can see them.

How is the new kitchen aid? Is the squeakiness gone?
The H and spent the weeked cleaning the house. I did some Christmas shopping and grocery shopping for Thursday. Pretty boring.
My mom is coming over Thursday morning for coffee and to watch the parade with DD, then I'm making ham, cheesy potatoes, spanikopita, and rolls for dinner. Dinner will only be me, the H, and DD. Later in the afternoon/evening my brothers and their significant others are coming over for drinks/dessert. I'm looking forward to a day off at home.

It's awesome soo quiet! I can't wait to use it to make a pumpkin roll for thanksgiving.
We had a fun weekend but it was kind of exhausting and unproductive! I did finally get my winter compost bin started, and then we went out for the whole afternoon and evening Sat. We had fun with our friends but got home at 1:30 am and I had different friends coming over Sunday. We had fun with them and played with their kids a bit.
I still have all my outdoor Christmas decorating to do (I have no clue how I'm going to plug in my lights-no outlet?!)
We are going to prep to paint our family room finally during the week, which means we have to pick some colors out ASAP! Lol. We are hoping to get the ceiling painted next weekend and maybe start the rest of it!
Meanwhile we have plans Wednesday night, Thursday, and Friday. And hopefully I can buy a full size tree on sale Friday. Plus we should shop for a sofa.
Do you mean your outside lights?? They make an outlet that screws into your outside lights. Is what we use.
DH helped some friends move on Saturday - so I installed the bedroom door in our spare room! All by myself! (I was supposed to do that last weekend, which I posted about in the weekend plans post - opps!) Then yesterday DH & I spent 4 hours raking leaves. Well, I raked, he used the leaf blower - I'm pretty sure I had the tougher job! I'm SO sore today! Thankfully our city picks them up at the edge of the street, because we had so many!
Weekend was good! Relaxing and productive all at once.
We spent all day saturday running errands and actually accomplished all our missions for once. took a run to the dump with what should be the last of the reno debris, dropped the boat off to be winterized, picked out our stain color for the floors, returned some bathroom stuff, re-picked out a slab for our upstairs vanity, and bought a rug and a chair for the baby room.
slept in on sunday and then spent most of the day hanging out playing with paint chips and fabric samples with the IL's who are having their basement redone. And half-heartedly watching football. (Eagles fan here. This season is rough)
Weekend was exhausting- DD's birthday was Friday and party Saturday, and with DH OOT and just home for Sat/Sun I did pretty much all cleaning and party prep on my own. DH helped rearrange furniture Sat morning and got some stuff up on the walls in the family room just before guests started arriving. We also went to another friend's fall party that evening.
Sunday was more low-key, went to church, finished party clean up and putting the house back together, plus Thanksgiving grocery shopping.
Plans for the week are hosting Thanksgiving w/ my parents and aunt as guests, DD having a sleepover at my parents' house Thursday night, starting Christmas decorating, and finishing up some small projects around the house.

The weekend was spent mostly with my ILs, so I'm mentally exhausted. But Saturday night I wrapped all of the xmas presents I've bought so far, which made me feel very accomplished.
Weekend was good! Friday night my Mom and I went shopping then I came home and drank a lot of wine. Saturday was a lot of the same old, same old in the house cleaning department etc. Sunday H and I did outdoor Chrsitmas lights. It looks awesome. We went really simple this time (lining roof lines instead of trees and whatever else) but it's awesome. Then I drank more wine. I'm not usually much of a boozer but sometimes it's fun.
I'm off of school all this week which is nice, I can just farm. Wed. we're heading to Hs sister to spend the night hang out on the way to my sister's house on Thursday. Friday is mailing some Christmas packages, and getting ready for Hs family to invade the farmyard. Sat. is Thanksgiving with Hs family.

I'm regretting saying I'm not as big with this baby as I was with DD. All the sudden I feel HUGE and exhausted!
This weekend I got everything on my to-do list done: -Extra keys made for nanny -Scoped out plumbing piping options for my dad -gifts for nieces -swept basement -raked leaves (OMG, SO tiring!) -got DD some cuter, dressier clothes for NYC/wedding
I have 7 people coming to my house for Thanksgiving (and the weekend) and I'm starting to freak out a little. I have a bunch of organizing/cleaning to do!
DH worked his butt of on the bathroom but only got the floor leveled. We have a long list of other stuff to get done before my dad comes Thursday to help with plumbing.

Take it back. NOT a happy monday.
Transferring clients to a banked agency and then separating everyone to two different agencies is a huge hassle and it means I have no access to my systems. You know, necessary stuff to do work. Oh, and my new boss is nice but OMG she is ridiculously high strung and really expects too much out of support staff.
AND since she has no access to the system, she is going to use my log-in tomorrow and will be signed onto MY computer which means she will be able to see my bookmarks, so I am going to be deleting the whole list and emailing them to myself today.
Well, this was my first weekend back home in two weeks. Some family stuff went down two weeks ago which required me to be in my home state of Wisconsin for nearly two weeks (which also explains my absence on the board for a while). But it was so nice to be back home this weekend and more or less stress-free.
DH and I slept until 11 both Saturday and Sunday, which was much needed. Yesterday we bought storm doors for both the front and back doors of the house, which will be installed next week. I also made a new Christmas wreath and started swapping out my fall decorations for my Christmas ones. The tree will go up on Friday, as is tradition. I'm just looking forward to this 3 day week and spending time with family.
