Say there's some huge meltdown of society (zombies, economic, asteroid, whatever) and we no longer have access to doctors.
What happens to my IUD after it expires? Will my body just naturally reject it? Will it just be there forever and ever? Will I need to send H up there with the *shudder* pliers?

That's a good question. I presume some doctors and midwives would survive, right? They wouldn't have offices, but you might be able to find somebody to take it out "right" in exchange for toilet paper and oats or some shit.
I have thought about this before. I have a feeling I would be getting desperate and finding someone I trusted with a steady hand. You just pull the strings... right?
I can feel the strings on mine. I've read stories of chicks that pulled 'em out themselves, so I'd probably do that. Or get my mom to do it (she's a midwife).
